haha so many ppl talking about reclusa..add me in also
i using microsoft x6..

complaining for x6 the volume control knob sometime will sunddenly no function and need detach the keyboard and plug again

i previously used lycosa..not change to x6 cos of don like lycosa..juz some accident make it cant use d

for kerry
i think u ask from opinion but need give ur expected budget
since u say u not aim for macro then g15 and g110 is abit too complicated keyboard and don think fit ur budget also..

then for ss 7g compare to reclusa..100% won fit budget as well

i think u can consider to forget about gaming keyboard..i think u shud check out about microsoft keyboard..usual wireless desktop set mayb
with ergonomic design and some multimedia and internet surfing useful key

hope help u abit

Added on September 12, 2010, 1:36 ampaiseh juz saw kerry post in gaming mouse thread
don think g15 and g110 not fit ur budget but 7g still la

since u concern so much on typing
then i think u need check out the keyboard 1 by 1 by feel the key touch and tightness

bcos every body preference difren
some 1 prefer tight key with heavy touch some like soft and slim key

just coz the dood said macros aint important doesnt mean must remove the G15 and G110 from the list...doesnt mean cannot consider.

and it aint complicated... just plug and play...dont wanna use macros then dont use the macros... simple as that...

the G15 is still a VERY good keyboard for typing which suits his criteria for spaced keys and comfort... never tried the G110 but i assume its as good as the G15...
but if willing to get non-gaming keyboard...the Dell Multimedia keyboard is one of the best keyboards ive ever used for typing....can search for it in bulk orders section...allngap selling it.

i said dat b4 i know his budget la

after that i added the new post already change it

and i said if concern on typing everybody preference for keyboard is difren
somebody like lycosa with looser and slim key

but some like tight key

so ask him to try him self

dont u hate the fingerprints?  tongue.gif ,

if only they made lycosa like arctosa, normal plastic instead of rubber or gloss finish, everyone will be satisfied...  whistling.gif
*
nvr try mirror version b4 so no comment

but rubber coating is for non sleep purpose ..for me i still prefer with rubber coating more than plastic like arctosa

the problem as for keyboard u tend to spam more than your mouse , so it wears out faster

Added on September 12, 2010, 9:29 pm

doesnt look cheap as in? whats your budjet, do u want macros or backlight or either one of them or none.
*
think spam more on mouse click than keyboard since mouse basically using dat 2 key..but keyboard ur spam divide into so many key..lol

understanded dat the rubber will be scratched and wipe off cos of frequent usage
but any way i think can take care of it as good as posible to try to prolong it lifespan
like make ur hand dry
clean hand 1st if swt
juz watever to maintain it

*
haha don think x4 plastic cheap..haha defending for x4 but not using x4 also

u juz now say better change lycosa key to arctosa plastic..now u say their plastic cheap
funny lo like dat

not offensive comment

cause its not shiny and not rubber , neutral haha.

but i think it will feel cheap.
*
definition for cheap difren

i don know about x4..my 'cheap' is means..once touch the key i feel it juz very loose and not solid..and maybe the color of the letter will wipe off then cheap (ofcos wont happen for back lit)

wah full razer gear lo, haha yeah there rubber gets sticky, u can try it during pcfair , its disgusting.  doh.gif
*
if u are some 1 who really like rubber coating like me..then u maybe not to avoid the rubber lycosa
instead of shud get some efficiency way to clear rubber surface
this is wat i think la..if u let me choose either lycosa rubber or mirror i definitely choose rubber

Lesson of the season:

"If you want to try gaming gears, go there early on the first day."

That's what I always do for PC Fair.

I wonder how clicky is the BW's cherry blues.
*
haha is true
if i do that then i think shud go test on first day
but buy at third day
first day price and third day price might b difren

anyway i not sure razer whether wil reduce price at 3rd day

cos nvr buy any razer product at pc fair
bcos everytime i wanna buy something i cant wait until the fair
i rather go to the shop and buy with mayb price abit higher
(desperate and desire)

To prevent me from wiping my glossy keyboard I've bought the RM10 keyboard protector, its rubberish and easy to type.

Today manage to have a feel of the G15 & Lycosa though, the people working there is friendly enough to allow me to feel and compare both keyboard. IMO I feel that the G15 and G110 is a tad plastic everytime I type. Just not worth the 200~ish. When tried on the lycosa mirror, all I got to say is wauu....I'm in love
*
i think u owes prefer looser and slim key which with little touch can type..
i tot for g15 and g110 need deeper pressing (not sure juz i think so) this is 1 reason i prefer lycosa also eventhough not tat macro-ish and without the lcd display

seriously, dont you think the keys are like uber flimsy and plastic?

actually, I'm quite skeptical about getting kbs.
I don't like Lycosa. Keys too flat + soft.
never tested a mech kb before  cry.gif
*
for the key too flat, not really affected me
but for light touch key yup definitely
but some ppl like light touch as well

maybe try blackwindow??

my personal think g110 is more useful than g15..cos i don think can use the lcd display for any of my game..about the light is dim i not really sure..previously use g13 for lot fps game..but sold it away becos i only use it for fps game as well..there are more firmware issue in logitech than other..lot time that cant detect the profile and not function when window sleep and wake up..dats 1 reason i nvr choose logitech product

think will try blackwindow..but need wait it price drop abit first
no longer interested with kb without backlit..but bw ulti is too exp
so need wait

prefer mechanical kb with heavy touch than membrane..also their quality
usually mecha lifespan is about 20mil keystroke..don think can finish 20mil b4 i quit gaming ^^

Flexing is a problem that can usually happens with laptop keyboards. Put too much pressure on it and it tends to sink.
*
haha seems like u misleaded
my comment is for the previous forumer post

i know usually wont bend but some time thin and laptop kb probably wil sink
my post is means don think 7g posible to bend..after put into the wrist rest..even more imposible
