Tarantula is membrane. And yes it fails.

And the best replacement for the g15 is of course the g510 drool.gif

ROFL. I'll rather get G19 in that case.

G19 $175.99 + 9.48 (shipping)

G510 $109.24 + free shipping.

I think when G19 arrive in MY, the price should be around RM400+. Still a far cry from RM600 laugh.gif
I'm not sure about the tax that MY custom will impose. But my Siberia V2 from Taiwan tax only USD1 (based from the documents that come with the package). Looks like the MY customs didn't tax it.

id rather buy a sexy G19...even though i think the LCD is a waste of money and increases the cost unnecessarily and a simple G110 or G510 would be enough....

reason: macros...me need them....and dont bother mentioning other brands that has macros...the logitech macro record software/ interface is awesome...even roccat is using it.

MS macro record is stupid imho...and i couldnt be bothered about razer.

but personally...the G510 is the one i want most....sexy black and also coz it has more macros compared to G19 and G110...

G19.
12 programmable G-keys, up to 3 macros per key.
that means all together you can record up to 36 macros.

G510.
18 programmable G-keys, up to 3 macros per key.
all together 54 macros laugh.gif

that's what I thought of.
RM400+ I rather get a mechanical keyboard. But I always got a feeling of telling me no to get 6Gv2 nor 7G.

Taiwan... they have online trading website that ships internationally?

Did MY custom hold your Siberia since it was taxed?

uumm.
Okay. I got my Siberia V2 from vVv Gaming, a eSports company based in US.
but then they ship from Taiwan to MY, and based on the docs I see in the FedEx seal, I just see a tax of USD1.
by Taiwan authorities, not MY.

truthfully....i couldnt be bothered about mechanical switches....ive tried it before though for a short while only and there was nothing to make me really want it or drool over it.

sure they may be nice to type etc etc.....but it really doesnt affect me. the keys can be any switch...as long as its nice to type im fine.

as for lasting long....well my keyboards take alot of abuse coz im not exactly "soft" when i type... i tend to bang the keyboard...especially the g15 in my office...coz i pratically use the entire keyboard including the numpad, the 6 key cluster and even the F keys work....and its been taking it for about 2 years now....still running fine with no signs of fatigue.

one of the main reasons im barely in this thread anymore... coz im not bothered about mechanical switches and everyone here is blabbing away about mechanical switches.... BORING yawn.gif

Gigabyte debuts the Aivia K8100 gaming keyboard
http://www.tcmagazine.com/tcm/news/hardwar...gaming-keyboard

Not exactly known for its peripherals, Gigabyte is looking to change everyone's view with the release of the Aivia K8100, a gaming keyboard which brags with four major features - an ergonomic keystroke design, the GHOST macro engine, 20 anti-ghosting keys, and touch and slide volume control.

Coming in three colors - black, yellow and red, the keyboard measures 490 (L) x 263 (W) 32.8 (H) mm, it weights 1.3kg, and has a USB 2.0 interface, a braided cotton cord, two USB ports on the side, three built-in keystroke forces - 70 grams, 60 grams and 50 grams (as detailed below), LED backlight illumination, the mentioned GHOST engine which, backed by the 4 Mb of onboard memory, lets the user have up to 100 programmable macro sets at his/her finger tips, and the ability to press up to 20 keys simultaneously withing having a ghosting effect.

The Aivia K8100 is now up for pre-order in Europe @ 41.53.

SIGH...y do manufacturers like to do this shit?

it may look nice...but dust gets stuck to it...and cleaning out a PVC cable is a whole lot easier rather than braided cable....which is almost impossible to get the damn dust out.
