QUOTE(klseet @ Dec 15 2011, 12:15 AM) RT-N16 - New UI Released ! And it's UniFi supported !!http://klseet.com/index.php?option=com_con...=130&Itemid=115Thanks to ASUS team, you guys really rock !! Complete re-write QoS engine & Torrent Client --> now we have Transmission on it !! Same here, waiting for RT-N56U. With latest firmware (f), cannot get download master to work, and the QoS and DHCP cannot set by MAC address.

QUOTE(peter32 @ Dec 21 2011, 12:29 PM) Just saw your posting, and gotta admit that the port forward setting is very much like your's, except that I don't use range, just a fix no. Most of them I uses both (TCP/UDP). I uses portforwad function for various stuff, from torrenting to individual computer, to CCTV DVR etc.. Thats why Its important for me. I also was baffled with my RT-N56U, try changing your source port range to a range, not just a number, for e.g. if you use port 80, put 80:80. It worked for me after being frustrated for a few hours. QUOTE(InSplre @ Dec 21 2011, 10:19 PM) Can the firmware posted on Asus website be use with UniFi? For RT-N56U, yes.

QUOTE(rayfoo @ Jan 14 2012, 08:26 AM) ASUS RT-N56U Firmware version 1.0.1.8b 1. replace udhcpd and dproxy with dnsmasq 2. improve usb modem support interoperability 3. improve printer support interoperability 4. speedup udp session timeout process while wan connection disconnected 5. disable media server forced full rescan feature File Size 7,76 (MBytes) 2012.01.11 update Does this fix the Download Master problem where the daemon not started on router? QUOTE(SnoWFisH @ Jan 18 2012, 08:24 AM) Can the 56U run both dual band (2.4 and 5 GHZ) at the same time? Then those wireless-N can still get N speed and wont get affected even if a G device get connected to it. The answer is yes. This post has been edited by cosmicmeadow: Jan 19 2012, 09:53 PM

QUOTE(peter32 @ Feb 27 2012, 12:56 PM) lol. I know it sounds like an idiot. But at that time, I don't know what else I can do. I did assign all my devices with fix ip, so that I can set up port forwarding effectively. With this router, it can also assign the bandwidth to individual device, so fixing the ip helps to keep the set up constant. Waiting for 10 mins is just a suggestion. The point is for the device to start up from scratch and apply the ip fixing to take effect. I was at wits end at that time, in fact, I kept them off overnight. When I turn all the system back again, the ip for individual device finally fixed properly, so port forwarding can be applied successfully. I don't understand how come it cannot be easily done either. Once the above done properly, it works like a gem. I left the device on all the time in fact. One thing about the RT-n56U firmware that irritates me is that I cannot set the same IP address for 2 different MAC address. For e.g. if I want my PC wired and wireless connections to have the same IP, I cannot do it with the DHCP function. So I end up hard coding the IP address on the PC itself. Same with all other devices. This is definitely one silly limitation of the current firmware. And I still cannot get the download master to work.... some stupid bug about some code not copied onto the USB drive when it is defined using AiDisk.... sigh... when will DD-WRT or Tomato be available for Ralink chipset????
