QUOTE(amdx @ Nov 21 2010, 07:35 PM) i still can't login to their yes ID portal, it show incorrect password and username but i'm already on yes 4g network using the similar logins info. the coverage map show my area has the strongest signal.. but the fact is.. i'm getting the weakest signal. speed test for ur reference... faster than HSPDA? i dun guess so. but very good ping response if compare to others. same case here. still cannot access the portal with yes id but i connected alright with connection manager. signal strength in my house also weak, most of the time 1 bar only.

QUOTE(andrekua @ Nov 21 2010, 09:55 AM) Why do you guys says its expensive? If you used 3GB or so per month, it comes up around the same as Digi Smart Plan, without a phone to offer that is. But for those who like to torrent or download (F)HD movies, of course gonna die lar. For mobility, I dont think you guys will download these OTG? We say it is expensive because with Digi after 3GB they will throttle down your line you can still use but slower lah with no additional charges... For YTL YES if you exceed 3GB then it is different you get charged for a fee and the only good news is they dont throttle your speed lah but you need to pay... so for a streamer and heavy downloader it is very expensive and not quite worth it...

Any idea how to know whether you are near a base station or not, even before you subscribe? Want to see how strong is the signal first b4 deciding whether to subscribe or not..

Want to see how strong is the signal first b4 deciding whether to subscribe or not.. erm.. look around the buildings near you n see if there are any antennas? then go ask the building owner if it's YTL's? lol other than that, probably have to refer to the coverage map thingy.
