Guys

The Huddle's WiFi range - when set to shortest 8dBM - my galaxy tab keeps showing signal only 2/3rd the strength even when there is direct line of sight (less than a meter away). It goes full only when I put the huddle next to the tab. If I turn my back i.e. I put the huddle behind me - WiFi signal strength falls and fluctuates between 1 and 2 - even at less than a meter away  - is this normal? I've tried changing the strength in the setup to both medium 11dBm and long 14dBm, with no discernible difference.
*
hi im not too sure what options are in ur huddle, but i think u can change the wifi channels. there are like >10 channels to choose from.

try a different channel and see if the signal strength improves.

the logic is that, if ur on the same channel as another wifi router, then there is interference and ur signal is affected. could be wrong, but its worth a shot.

Are you referring to remote access management?

If yes, it is quite simple, but poorly documented by Yes.

Firstly, just maintain the port 8080.

Check enable remote management.

Also, make sure you get a free dyns service.

Once that is all setup, u can access remotely from anywhere

Remember to use https and explicityly state port number

Eg.

https://myhome.freedns.tv:8080

If you still have credit in terms of $$$, than it will get deducted RM30 each month until no credit left.

If you still have credit in terms of data base on purchase from Value Pack, it will become 0 MB after 30 days even if you have data credit left. Unless of course you reload another Value Pack.

Easy payment plan depends on which CC you'll be using. RM100x12 months is possible too. Too bad, my Amex card is not included. sad.gif

So wat are the cards available?

I hav HSBC,CiTiBk,HLBk,MBB,SCB & MBF
I still think the rm1199 is the best as you will be getting rm800 in credits which u can use to purchase the VP,
Id wise, i ady hav one, so no issue here and no nid to purchase another 1.
I also get to own a Huddle ontop of my Go and Zoom ( which i ady hav)
the rm400 rebates can be used to surf as PAYU when/if i finish the VP before the 30days period.
rm800/68 = 11.76 VP, it can last for a year and i can choose to pay at rm50x24mths interest free too

correct me if i am wrong icon_rolleyes.gif

the HSBC offer of rm460 only give me a Huddle+rm150+rm9 credits as i ady hav an ID

so we can get a rough idea tat the Huddle/Zoom worth abt rm300 in this promo,

basing on this asumption, if we apply to the rm1199 offer, rm899 will get us rm800credits + rm400rebates rite, not to mention the rm50x24mths EPP

correct?

look at it from another perspective:

you pay RM1199 via RM50 X 24 month (RM1 interest for 2 years rclxm9.gif ), and you get back RM800 Credit + RM400 rebate.
So the device is actually free.

I chosed to pay RM399 upfront for my ZOOM, as it give me RM60 for 1st 6 months and Rm100 for the next 6 months. but I get a freedoom to stop it anytime. Freedom is something money cannot buy.
This package is not much different from HSBC promo in term of value.

but if you are confident that you are welling to stick to YES for 2 years, then the RM50 X 24 plan is worth to considered.

You've got so many cards, I'm pretty sure one of them is included.

Like I said earlier, if you need those extra credits, bundled plan is the way to go. That's the reason I purchased the bundled plan as well but I don't need the Huddle. tongue.gif

wanna ask if theres any YES users in Subang Permai/Kayangan Heights/Monterez, Shah Alam. How's the signal and what are your speeds? Am planning to replace my Celcom MiFi unit to a YES Huddle plan since the celcom broadband signal at my place in the middle of those places is very low, 3G only by the window and sometimes 2G. Checked the map coverage, but that is mostly estimation work.

Almost all wireless BB quota is around 3GB with pricing around RM60, how come say YES can be the most little?

From experience,
I used it at 20th floor, no problem of getting signal, speed range from 5-8mbps, signal 1-2 bar with dongle and 2-3 bar with zoom.
No unstable issue at least until now.

Cloud actually a phone book system...which auto sync everytime u delete, edit or add new entries...
yeah, it's from samsung...spec wise (back when we had a chance to play with the prototype) is similar to galaxy ace...but with simcard and wimax supported....means 2 in 1 la...and can be used as hotspot too...
