Added on November 11, 2011, 8:22 pmcloud actually is Network Address Book (NAB).

QUOTE
Network Address Book (NAB) is your address book function on your Buzz phone which keeps a copy of your contacts on a carrier grade backup computer so that your contacts are available to you whenever you need them from your Buzz phone or from your personal computer when using the Yes Life PC phone software exclusive to Yes customers.

QUOTE
2. How do I synchronize my contacts using Network Address Book (NAB)?
......
The device will auto synchronize with NAB every 5 min. You can also do this manually using the following steps:

Go to Menu > Phonebook and press option > Select menu item: "Synchronize" >Select "Start sync" to initiate synchronization.

buzz definitely cannot be used as hotspot..but u can use yeslife directly...and surf the net...but do remember, buzz is just a basic phone...no bluetooth,no infrared...no MMS....the only way to send picture is using email. the screen is small...so u need to use opera mini...

the main purpose of getting Buzz is to utilise the free minutes and sms in the VP package, however if tat fon can offer hotspot or joikuspot, it would be nice

anyway , lets hope YES will introduce the Android version of the wimax fon soon and i believe it subscriber base will increase tremendously

The cloud based address book is a well thought of value added service(VAS) that is provided to users free of charge.

It takes only about 1mb-2mb of free space of each user's email account considering they have like 2GB available to store all your contacts remotely. Only concern is privacy but it could be a life saver at times.

Those mobile operators who still charge users for this service is clearly reaping them off.

so the biggest advantage of the Buzz is its contacts storing feature rather than as a fon tat can make calls via Wimax?

if we hav a i3Gs, we too can make calls via the Yeslife App and all our contacts can be stored in the Apps itself too rite?

I did some test with my "yes go" yesterday (2011-11-12), on my way from Pudu Raya bus station, Kuala Lumpur to Seremban, by bus. I want to know how was the coverage on the KL-Seremban highway. The results are better than I have expected. Below are the screen shot of my test.

The bus usually run at around 120km/h. The connection drop around 15 times on the whole journey, where there are no signal available in between coverage gap. However it get connected within 10 to 30 second most of the time, that means the signal gap is around 300m to 1km. When the bus reach Seremban toll, the connection drop, because the bus was moving slow and the coverage there are very weak. The signal came back stable after leaving toll about 500 meters.

When you look at the screen shot below, please beware the time of my widget are not correct sometimes, the window's time at the bottom right corner are the correct one.

I hope someone else can test the other parts of highway to let us know the coverage of Yes broadband.

9:24pm Bus just came out from Pudu Raya bus station
9:27pm Bus reach Central Market, below the LRT railway
9:pm30 Bus pass by Railway Station
9:35pm bus pass by jalan lapangan terbang lama
9:38pm bus pass by Nirvana Building
9:41pm bus pass by petronas station before the KL-Seremban toll
9:43pm bus pass by KL-Seremban Toll, traffic are smooth at that time.
9:51pm
9:55pm
9:57pm
10:01pm
10:04pm
10:10pm
10:11pm
10:15pm bus leaving Seremban toll
10:17pm
10:19pm bus reach Terminal One bus station, Seremban

using yes for a certain period of time, so far the downloading speed is good but the problem comes when going to online gaming.

It has some lag in my online game, although the download speed can up to 200kB/s, I checked the signal bar it only has 3 (max is 5). How can I identify it? Is it go to speedtest.net to check the latency ?

Is there anyway I can boost up the signal instead of moving the yes go towards the outside? I saw there is some guide on making some aluminium to receiving the signal, is that works?

Thanks

I tried to login using my yes id / password through yes life, but it says that my yes id and password is incorrect. Problem is, I can actually log in using that same account in yes.my to check my data balance. My phone minutes have balance more than 850 minutes... wanna use it now.

Tried to login yesmail also the account cannot work, why ya?
