FB also not to view a lot of pictures, and DON"T VIEW VIDEOS in FB. That will take up a lot of bandwidth.
Also, no frequent tethering to PC/laptop as modem. I set rules upon myself to only use data-plan for mainly text items. Any other intense download like movies, youtube, pictures, etc. I surf using WiFi. My monthly data usage is <100MB for whatsapp, multiple email box, simple web browsing, etc. WiFi I use about 5GB-10GB per month. |

Dear All,
I am thinking of getting Ip4 from Maxis due to their phone is cheaper. But later can i use Digi card for the internet due to their internet even if I go over 1gb is still the same price. Then I can give my maxis card to my wife phone to use as she is using the 500mb package? |

Hi guys.
I recently bought an iPhone 4 16gb (maxis unit). However, i cant figure out how to make the internet settings (EDGE or 3G) work. I've turned on the 3G and Cellular Data on but still I cant load anything. No issues if on wifi. I'm on Hotlink prepaid, and on carrier Maxis 10.1. I've read the the threads on the forums but found nothing that could help. My carrier settings doesn't let you key in the internet settings manually either. I've tried changing my APN settings using unlockit.co.nz and it still doesn't work. Any idea guys? Thanks. |

QUOTE(deepan84 @ Jun 13 2011, 07:44 AM) i got the 250 waived. hey deepan84, 1. i told dem its not in d contract for dem to prorate the 1st mth bill. 2. SA shud have informed us wen we bought d fone but failed to do so. and im stil in d 1gb limit. 3. its common sense to assume dat billin starts on d day we bought the fone. 4. if they dun waive, i wil bring d issue to newspaper, tribunal court and consumerism ministry. they kecut and said they will waive straight away. do up ur voice to sound stern n angry. I got my charges waived too... talked to the CS for bout 1 hour... at 1st, they are reluctant to waived it and asked me to wait for 1 week for their investigation. but i juz show them that i am not satisfied and angry with their explanation, they finally waived it... |

QUOTE(fongwan @ Jun 15 2011, 06:01 PM) Dear All, Yes, you can swap sim card around, since Malaysia iPhone's are not locked. However, do take care on the data usage.I am thinking of getting Ip4 from Maxis due to their phone is cheaper. But later can i use Digi card for the internet due to their internet even if I go over 1gb is still the same price. Then I can give my maxis card to my wife phone to use as she is using the 500mb package? QUOTE(lelabi92 @ Jun 15 2011, 08:38 PM) 4Square = won't consume a lot, as long as you don't view/load all the pictures and maps of a particular location.I use daily, and it doesn't even reach 1MB/day. |

is that iPhone 3G, 3G[S] or iPhone4? cos there's no production anymore for the older models... so your friend might possibly get a refurbished set. why is this a problem? refurbished sets are tested completely and are usually cosmetically perfect.

@Kenny_Yong_9, did u check if the model ends with LL or MY? LL means refurbished one...Mostly, maxis will give refurbished sets for replacements.
