1. Penalty with formula given by Maxis
2. switch to any other postpaid plan by Maxis

Contracts are always negotiable with Maxis, depend whether you meet the right person to discuss or not. Some operator over the phone just dont have enough knowledge or power to decide anything

OT: is 1800 numbers calling from Maxis is free? Can somebody confirm this? I saw TM ad in newspaper saying all moblie lines calling to 1800 already free...
I check maxis website still showing the local rate charges apply to 188 and 1300 numbers...

Is it possible to buy the iphone 4 outright from maxis without subscribing to any of its postpaid plans as mention above?Because from what i read from this page (http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/iphone4/rates.asp), purchase of an iphone must be accompanied with their plans......So im kinda confused on whether its possible to get an iphone without its plans, can anybody in the forum enlightened me on this? Btw im a current hotlink prepaid user.......

The answer is imposibble... Wanna get iPhone 4 without contract. Celcom got one. But need to purchased their Xpax prepaid number first. And topup RM50. Then you can get iPhone 4 without contract.

of coz CAN purchase the iphone from MAXIS without contract..just need to call the MEP shops first...the MEP shops at BANGSAR Shopping Centre for example..they allow u to buy the white set of iphone 4 for outright price (RM2190)..all u have to do is call them first at early morning before u go to buy it..i also buy the white set of iphone 4 without contract from..just need to call them first to know whether they have stock to release for outright purchase..i have to wait for 1 day before i can purchase the white set of iphone 4 from them..

Buying my iPhone 4 16GB Black now, sadly 32GB out of stocks.

MEP is short form for maxis executive partner which provide certain service that provide at maxis service center..the MEP store also the authorize seller for iphone 4..u can purchase the phone together with the plan or without plan..its depend on each MEP store to release how many unit of the iphone 4 for the purchase without contract..

It's possible to buy a Maxis iphone without contract but you have to get lucky. Better buy from Celcom with Xpax prepaid number. You can always replace with your own SIM if you don't need the data.

Yup..some MEP store will ask u to wait for two or three days before u can buy it without contract..if u got a fren working at MEP or MAXIS center u can buy it straight away..hehe

No reduce or discount prices... its still the same. i dont know why they put `Annivesary` thing also... haha

guys, just say i have dis situation.

bought iphone4 on 28 may 2011 with ivalue1. now check outstanding is 300bucks as per today and its barred now. logic given by CS is call n data was prorated and billin resets on 1/6/2011. thus ur data was prorated on may2011. so u got charged 250bucks extra. can i still fight wit dem n tell dem i was not informed bout the prorated part n want dem to waive my 250 bucks data charge coz rightfully after i bought d fone it was always inside d 1gb limit. and it wasnt stated anywhere in d contract dat my billin wud start on 1st every mth. now they unbarred me temporarily but have to make min payment of 150bucks. i guess im stil bein charged for the 250bucks.

so wats d chances i can get d 250 waived?
