Yes it is the same model 16GB and 32GB black Iphone 4.. For Iphone 4 white looks like not much updates from apple.

Well they might...but until they don't come out with white black statement...it is no point trusting the rumours...

dont expect the iphone price to be cheaper or as cheap as your conventional HTC or Nokia even if their specs are higher, but performance might be a let down, still cannot match the community support ands apps that is offered by apple, if price is an issue then better not get the iphone.

@yuvanesh: the hotlink plan is sort of like outright purchase, just buy a prepaid card from maxis and thats it, after that throw it into the bin tongue.gif

they do. the hotlink plan doesnt come with a contract. juz buy it, n like nimrod said, throw away the sim n insert ur own smile.gif but u lose the free 500mb/month data lah

it's just that maxis wont directly say 'outright purchase'

Yes, but they will mark up a lot.
Because they want you to use their plans.

no such thing, outright prices are controlled by apple. this has been the case everywhere, only Digi wants you to use their plans and doesnt offer outright purchase, not maxis.

and your point is?

it still doesnt negate the fact apple controls the prices on their on terms in each country, that statistic is to compare prices of iphones in other countries, prices are set based on a number of factors such, as transport fees, electronic goods tax, government tax, excise duties that vary from country to country, after taking all of this into consideration apple sets the prices accordingly, so at the end of the day its apple's call not the telco's to set an outright price. Maxis or Digi has no say in outright price, apple does.

xpresside, nimrod juz said the prices are controlled by apple. no one is saying the prices are the same everywhere

also, it's not that maxis mark up the iphone price for outright purchase. that's the 'default' price, as set by apple. the point of getting a maxis/digi plan is so you can get a cheaper price overall, including ur bills etc

i guess it's 2490 and 2990 respectively still... which is kind of disappointing. wish maxis will reduce the price though it's nearly impossible...

is there a link or source that says BMW AG is controlling the price of BMW cars all over the world? you dont need one because its common sense that BMW doesnt relegate the pricing task to auto bavaria, sapura autos, or cartrade(Malaysian BMW resellers). Apple has and always been regulating all of their products in all of the countries they are in business, if you ever bought a mac or ipod before its a common knowledge.

hmm at this point i would think they'd mirror the singaporean pricing or a bit pricier at 100=150 extra, have to wait for maxis to reveal the prices soon.

^ that's good news. so far 3 people has reported the same smile.gif thanks for sharing!

Chromeware, if apple doesnt control the iphone price, who does? even macs have the same prices in every shop in malaysia, no one is selling more or less. they control it so that it wont be too expensive, n not too low-profit either. what maxis n digi does with their plans is to subsidize the purchase (not much compared to aussie lah) so more people can afford it
