hey guys just heard some news,

yet to be confirmed

25 aug

iphone 4 will be available at retailers ..... ie EPIC

if this is so you can walk in buy and even get a gst refund too (7%)

Wrong. All tourists are eligible, as long as you exit the country with a flight. No GST refund if you come in by cars, buses.

hey guys... just have a doubts here... do the iphone4 need to be activated if i bought it from online store??

i can use it straight away after i insert using maxis microsim without getting it activated??

well you have activate the phone before you use...noted even with maxis mirco sim you can activate any unlock phone...

it needs to be connected once to itunes, thats all there is to it, put your simcard in before connecting to the itunes and also isnt this pinned on the first page?

if sealed box iphone4 you hides in your backpack, how would they know worh? I don't think they ask you to open all your luggage or baggage right if you come back by buses or car.

This is for using airline, if bus or car they are no so strict you may go easily without custom tax.. smile.gif

my friend brought back 2 ip4 from UK for me and didn't kena custom. Just hand carry and put in hand carry bag. No need stop for custom check, just walk through the No Custom Declaration lane and act normal.

unseal box will be the safer option. but then again, lots of ppl brought back sealed box without custom issue. depends on luck if they choose u and ask u to scan your luggage
