Frequent asked Questions:

1. Currently, all 3 telco as well as Apple Online Store is selling the iPhone 4. SingTel,Starhub and M1

2. iPhone 3GS 8GB is available on the Apple Online Store as well as Epicenter Singapore for S$748

3. iPhones from Singapore apple store will only ship within singapore.

Link: Payment and Pricing

6. There are some users here ordered from Apple Online Singapore with their Malaysian Credit cards and the order went through.
*Do note: If you use any CC below, it does not guarantee that your order went through
The cards that went through is: Hong Leong, Citibank and UOB [Malaysian CC] & American Express[US Based]

*There are times your order get stuck. There are 2 possible reason. I have stated the alternative as to what you can do if you face the problem.
a) Credit Card Company doesn't release your payment to apple. Alternative: You can change cards or cancel your order.
b) Apple suspect you using credit card from overseas. Alternative: You can cancel your order or send in your documents
*Sending in your documents does not guarantee your order will go through smile.gif

7. After you Order, you will get an Acknowledgement letter from Apple. Followed by a Shipping Notification with a 10 digit tracking number from DHL Singapore when your order is ship. Then an Invoice stating your order amount have been charged to the credit card.
*Apple will only hold your amount from your credit card when you order from the first time. They do not charge it straight away*
-You can check the Tracking number from: http://www.dhl.com.sg/en.html

8. Address. When you order, you must use a Singapore Address aka Shipping Address[Refer to Point 3]. The billing address can be the same as your Singapore address(If you use Malaysian CC or Amex-Us Based). The phone number, you can put your contact's number in Singapore(Singapore Number).
*How about Malaysian number? You can try to put that. But I can't guarantee you if Apple/DHL will call you due to overseas number. laugh.gif

um... Apple Store will be selling outright, problem is only can buy using SG credit card, and deliver to SG address.

EpiCentre and other APR haven't announced which carrier is their partner.

Considering that the iPhone4 is launching in under 72 hours in SG, there's hardly any information available online/etc other than the pricing. I mean ... the SG apple store still says "coming soon."

Anyway, can I correctly assume that:

- online orders are SG credit card and ship to SG address only
- online orders cannot GST refund - physical shop only (and at airport only, and perhaps also subject to minimum stay duration)

i've got plenty of friends in SG but feel a bit leceh to take a trip down to SG just for iPhone ...

And I started to see sales thread in Garage Sales.

16GB for RM2400
32GB for RM2900

Estimatelt they earned RM400/unit, but they save you every hassle to travel down to SG. Worth thinking? rolleyes.gif

not for me, cos the name on SG register is their name, so it may cause problems later when warranty / AppleCare.
also RM400 is 20% markup... I would rather get my friends in SG to buy and trust them, rather than some strangers...

if you get it directly from apple, the warranty will be on the item itself, not on the seller similar to other apple products.

SG credit card? How come we cannot use a Malaysia credit card? hmm.gif

And you guys are right, buy from App Store (Singapore), shipping is FOC, but they only ship within Singapore. Taking 1-3 business day.

Well if you look at it the other way, go down SG get your own set = save rm400. Go down SG get 2 or 3 sets = make enough money to cover the cost of the trip + hotel stay + some shopping ... biggrin.gif

I'm thinking ... I've got some friends who stay in JB and work in Singapore. Should be OK for me to ask them to buy, bring over the border, and then poslaju to me ... right?

@panasonic88,
Er.. shipping 1-3 business days? Er.. where'd U get that information from? Released liow ah?

@jphlau,
Normally, Apple Online Store only recognises local CC. Hence, if that's the case for the SG Online Store, U'll definitely need a SG CC.
