those who used their MSIAN CC to purchase, has $$ been deducted from your credit card? Mine have NOT~

Still curious if it gets thru or not.

they will only charge once ur item delivered

QUOTE(LuckyDucky @ Aug 4 2010, 02:01 PM)
what about by passing custom by bus, will they ask all the passengers disembark to check their luggage? hmm.gif
*
yes.

QUOTE(deodorant @ Aug 4 2010, 04:19 PM)
Guys, do any of you actually see the purchase on your credit card statement? I bought on 31st July, received confirmation email, but until now 4th Aug also don't see it appearing on my credit card online activity.

I'm hoping it's like those hotel deposit where they 'block' certain $$ on your credit limit but don't actually charge you til you check out.
*
ah! bro , y i still havent recieve any confirmation email ><

QUOTE(xaw5126 @ Aug 4 2010, 04:52 PM)
nah, they'll put the charge just after your phone is shipped out.
*
yes absolutely

just another question, if the phone i really buy for personal use? they tax tat also?

call your CC company and check with them, im pretty sure that amount has been blocked. i've checked with my CC (UOB), the amount of S$888 has been blocked by apple singapore, waiting for them to proceed with the claim. i presume it will be charged only when the unit sent out.

forget about claiming GST, i heard that you cannot bcoz...
1st, online purchase via Apple Online Store will not eligible you to claim for GST
2nd, GST only applicable for airline passenger
correct me if this two points is incorrect icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes. From what I know, GST is only available for airline passenger. What airline? As long you fly out of singapore
If you drive car, lorry, motorcycle, bumper car, scooter, caravan or even boat on roads. You can't claim back your GST tongue.gif
GST is only available if you use your credit card and you claim by yourself. No on behalf of this and that person smile.gif

i think they tax you based on the condition of the item, such as your item is sealed in the box, or unsealed, or without box, so if personal use, then i suggest you unseal and unwrap all your plastic and put your iphone in your pocket, that way i think is truly consider personal use, but if the box is fully sealed, then no excuse for tax

the custom will believe you, they have to believe you bcoz they got no reason to stop you, if this way also cannot, a lot of your personal belonging will kena tax also, such as your watches, your glasses, your underwear, your dress, your luggage etc.. etc...

if you wants to keep the box for any reason, unfold the box and keep it in a document folder or slip inside books or anything flat
