VDSL2 = uses copper
FTTH = uses fiber

You probably wont have a choice in this matter but its better to get FTTH over VDSL2.. better performance IMO from what I've experienced

Using FTTH or VDSL2 wont make much difference for the speed unifi is offering (5/10/20mb)
unless in the near future we going to hv 100mbps connection then vdsl2 will loose out compared to ftth (fiber optic)

Even now, VDSL2 can't fully support 20mbps. I was at a Unifibiz install last week (same office, second trip) because of this very reason.

When TM first installed the VDSL2 Biz20 for them, they could only receive up to 3mbps down/2mbps up (on an RM899/mth biz package). Why? Their building wiring had been oxidized and worn out over time to the point that the entire cable had to be replaced. After the replacement was done, they had to call in TM staff to check their connection/port/etc. again. TM tried to 'optimize' the thing for them but while the line could hit 20mbps down, uplink was limited to 13-15mbps at best.

And I think I've mentioned this before but TM is setting all their Unifi VDSL2 multiplexers on Interleave mode which basically gives you a nice 30-50ms+ increase in physical latency. VDSL2 is honestly not worth the trouble if you can get fiber pulled directly to your workspace IMO. :/

I have a question here. To determine if our house can support Unifi or not is it by looking at the pole behind our house if it has the white box with TM word on it?

they are 2 types, the other one is underground, that one you look for a green dustbin like housing in front of your house.

I don't think you can use a WIFI dongle as if I understand correctly the USB port on the STB is not functioning, moreover, WIFI may not be stable enough for IPTV especially the HD channels. Many here including me have successfully using Homeplug to connect to IPTV, I believe this is a better option.

The speed is amazingly consistent compare with the 4MB Streamyx i used previously. Now i can get average at least 4.80MB/S - 5.20MB.

It is like a normal power plug with ethernet jack to plug in your CAT5 cable. It uses your electric line at home to transmit signal. Try to google Homeplug and you should find plenty of information.
