Many buyers here are so selfish!

Read many comments that you all have paid for the condo...but not the indian people living there.

They have their rights as a citizen too! So what if you have voted in PR, they have to be fair to all, not just people with money.

You have money, you still have a choice. Some people are so poor and physically immobile and you people still have the heart to blame them.

Now what you should do is get the Developer to settle the problem! Demo at the developer's office. Your money is paid to the developer not the state gov.

Now very obvious the developer is using buyers to pressure the gov over problems on their end. Read up reports over the media and find out from the gov why they took this action then you all will understand!

this is why we need developer to give us a satisfactory answer, solve our problems..

This is a problem between developer and the squatters.. We are victims..

They have no RIGHT to get the court to issue stop work order on our properties' construction. We have nothing to do on their argument.

Squatters occupied part of the land owned by 1120 buyers..
if they want to continue the argument, move to the land where it supposed to build the so called "Block E" and occupied the land there..
that is their land and not this piece where 1120 PA is..

Pls correct me if i'm wrong..

i beg to differ
if you have a numbers of squatters vs the number which have abandoned condo

1 - condo have even higher impact

2 - if peter need money, they ask from the bank
the loan is 1120 purchasers to pay & without a house

what i mean here is the gravity of the problem is different

Does anyone realize that the double story terrace houses next to 1120 are only selling for around 300k? Thats almost the same price as the condo.

so, did you buy 1120? gv more facts first... how old is the house? leasehold? Seksyen 14 PJ landed houses also quite cheap compared the surrounding new development... go check it out.

if you really bought 1120, the important issue is to get the condo in time and not talk about pricing of the surrounding cool2.gif

Let me just ask you a few questions.
Originally, there are lots of other squatters in that area, what happen to the rest of the squatters in that area? Where have all of them moved? Why aren's the squatters protesting against the people of Taman Kanagapura who objected their block E to be built? Why aren't they accepting the alternative offers by both the government and the developers? What do they actually want? How much compensation do they actually want? Who is going to compensate the 1120 condo owners if the project is abandoned?

Added on June 16, 2011, 11:13 amI've written this e-mail to Free Malaysia today and got a reply from their editor K Kabilan that they will send a reporter to cover tomorrows gathering.

With reference to your recent article “Developer yet to receive show-cause letter” by G Vinod of June 14 and various earlier articles on this matter. As a respected online news portal, I sincerely hope that Free Malaysia Today [“FMT”] will present a fair and accountable report on this matter. There’s always two side of the story and did FMT make any attempt to contact the developers and hear their side of the story before painting them as villains. Please refer to the recent announcement from the developer. You may access the announcement from the following website:-

http://www.1120parkavenue.com/timeline/timeline.html

I do not want to point this out but I find FMT have been overly sympathetic to the squatters and have sensationalized the issue. I really hope that I am wrong on this matter and FMT should prove that I am wrong by publishing another article about this matter after doing a detail investigation and verify the developer’s claims. If what is announced by the developers is the truth, please be fair to the developer as they have rights as well.

Please note that I am an interested party in this matter because I am a buyer of the condo project and my views might consider as bias from certain parties. What I want to state is FMT should also consider the rights of the condo buyers who are currently in a limbo because of the stop work order and any further delays could jeopardize the
developer’s ability to finish the condo project. Will FMT or the Selangor government compensate the condo buyers if the project is unfinished or delayed? Please note that the squatters are not victim here but the 1,120 condo owners who are not rich people as well. There will be a gathering of the condo owners tomorrow at 10.00 a.m. at the
developers office to discuss our options and to voice our displeasure on the way the Selangor government and the media in handling this matter. I sincerely hope that FMT will send some reporters to cover this gathering.

Added on June 16, 2011, 11:47 amI've also written to the Star, Sun and Malaysiakini. I hope they will also response.

Some guests of this forum have turn this into a racial issue. Please do not be a racist but treat this as a Malaysian problem. Remember there are Chinese, Malay and Indian purchacers in this project and all should fight for their rights as one. I believe 1120 unit holders have the law on their side and will triump ultimately.

Hi all,

Good to see vibrant democracy in action! Everyone of course have their rights and concerns; all are equally important and that's why this is complex and we need to find best/fair solution to all.

With this regard, the government and developer are the duty bearers. May I suggest that you also visit the resident in PJS1 to hear their explanation on not accepting the solutions offered? Then everyone can gang up and whack the govn + developer kau kau if they main wayang.

There should be a neutral 3rd party to mediate between the state gov, developer and the squatters. Actually, if what is written on peter's website is true, I think they have done more than enough to help the squatters. All their offer is rejected by the squatters. Demolishing the squatters house is the last resort and they got the court order for it so its totally legal. The problem is the state government got panicky because certain parties are exploiting this issue.
