the app just lies to websites telling its flash 10 on an android browser. and android browser is webkit based if i am not mistaken, same like symbian. microB wont behave like itself anymore, but some flash 10 websites might work, might work and for sure choppy.Added on July 29, 2010, 1:47 pm

You should go buzz titan about your findings, or buzz the guys up at maemo. Something seems funnay that a undervolted kernel doesn't save that much battery and DOESN'T sleep at zero.
Maybe your stock kernel has SmartReflex enabled somehow?
We need a proper power consumption visualization tool, ala Energy Profiler on symbian, that actually measures device power usage (rather then just the darned battery). But the N900 lacks the sensors, no?
it was possible to measure power usage of individual apps in symbian. it did not require a special sensor HW, just some codes in the OS itself. symbian started off as an OS for mobile devices with limited battery power, whereas linux started off on dinosaur machines which had no care for power management, therefore i am not surprised if any linux based devices suck at power management.Maybe your stock kernel has SmartReflex enabled somehow?

Added on July 29, 2010, 1:57 pmmaybe not installing all those apps is helping with the standby time.
i avoided any apps that might have daemons that run the background or add additional applets to the control panel or widget section.
only installed apps that would load on execution and totally quit when closed without leaving traces in memory.
after finishing with this experiment, i will try with just kernel-power on a fresh re-flashed device to compare.
