thats where flash sux and html5 wins.

you see flash is a video format, container + codec = all done by adobe. its adobe

while html5 is just a container format, it can contain any video using any codecs.

see here for more info on html5

http://diveintohtml5.org/video.html

and how that would help our n900 without waiting for nokia and adobe to resolve their issues. nokia said wait for adobe and adobe said wait for nokia.

i said wth...

technically, when the world wide web moves to html5, our n900 would be able to access it with any additional components...

mp4 video in html5 video tag container should work flawlessly...

even other html5 apps would work since it requires javascript only. hence most html5 demoes work in our n900.

in fact html5 is write once and play in all devices format, unlike flash which has mobile versions and desktop versions now, not to mention the entire hardware acceleration thingy, adobe just realized that hardware acceleration would help at the 10th iteration (flash 10) of the flash format.

adobe is promoting flash to be open format, but how open can it be ? they also need to earn money. now nokia wants to play the open source game, so html5 is definately in the picture.

furthermore with html5, developers dont need expensive flash authoring tools to generate flash content.

then obviously the configuration of your router then. did u enable mac filtering or something like that ? switch to WEP instead of WAP/WAP2, if still cannot totally disable security and try it.

if it doesn't work still, then throw away your router. brows.gif

welcome to the club

u can install apps using the app.manager in your n900 menu
(need internet connection)

file ext for maemoe? could you be more specific?

u cant view facebook video cause they are using different version of flash
as n900 only support flash 9 only for now..maybe they'll upgrade to flash 10.1 in the next firmware upgrade

My N900 today changes its region to Algerian (AUTOMATICALLY)

I went to the settings and to change it back to English + Malaysia...
1) Language options= EMPTY (no options for me to choose)
2) Region options= Malaysia

The phone restarts... and same goes back to Algerian!!!
On top of the settings button (theres a menu ORIGINALLY)
And now I am unable to click any menus(Its LOST) from the above due to the long words up there!! HELP!!!

PS:- When I send to Nokia's service center they say they need 2-3 working days.... Its a BIG NO NO to me =(

Anyone can help me on this?
