was just wondering... whne u get ur DHD r u buying new microsd card? doubt the included mem card is going to be enuf. i think i will be getting a 16gb class 10 card from kingston. or is class 10 overkill?
*
i read on XDA that more than class 6 is overkill.. the price tag on 16 gb class 10 kingston draws me back...

iPhone4 battery life is suck (Lucky I not get it).

My friend just bought it and get it on last few days from Maxis.

He needs to charge twice a day in normal use and 4th times a day in heavy use. (WHAT!!!?)

He gonna to MAD already, he & his another friend both get on same times and both is selling off now.

Off topic, how much does he wants 4 it if he intends 2 resell?

Back to topic, Desire is not too good in battery life as well too. Sad to say. I had tested it with a i4 when i had the chance.

Class starts at 10.30 - Desire 90%, Apple 92%

I was chatting with my buddy using Meebo and he is using Meebo as well.

Around 12.30 - Battery left 25% on my Desire, Apple still have a decent 30%

Both are running on 3G with wifi off and Screen set to Medium brightness.

Overall, the battery life is nearly the same, but when voice calls are somehow put to test, Desire last wayyyyy longer though :S

Can not just compare like that. YOu may to check how many apps run in background. Apple multitasking is not "multi" at all, it has limitation. The main reason is try to extent its battery life. Android may be can have setting to limit the total program run in back ground. Currently, i have to close it from time to time.

Of course i understand >">

I am saying from a layman's perspective. If i wanna do in-depth analysis, I would need to take a week or 2 lol >">

But using a standard normal usage situation, regardless of apps and etc, this is what people aim for right? You dun always wanna tweak and tweak the phone non stop everyday in order to maximize the battery lifetime. I tweak it to the optimum setting and never touch it ever since.

Compared to a phone that is not tweaked and limitation applies, i would say Apple have a pretty ok battery life. Not like the ones that i reli want, but its ok.
So does Desire.

thier battery life is nearly the same actually.

I hope DHD has the around the same battery life compared to HTC Desire. The battery capacity is around 80% of the desire but given that the new 45nm chip and LCD display, i hope it can compensate back the mAh loss

How much is the fps of DHD for recording a 720p video?
The hinge for Desire Z looks fragile.

So far, Im quite satisfied with the Iphone4 battery life.

Charge once a day with 2 hour surfing, 1 hour gaming, 1 hour music, 30minutes call. At night still left roughly 20+%

I heard iOS4.1 need to close the apps in multitask bar to save batt life.

Back to topic, My bro HD2 screen looks awesome, the Samsung Galaxy S screen even better.

So thinking to get another Iphone4 or DesireHD or Z

As always we are in bolehland.
We will always be the last to receive latest technology.
Probably the AP company will cash in by bringing the phone here early.

i bought my SGS from clove last few months..i got no problem with them except u need verify ur details for security purposes(only international transaction)
clove is trusted company and many ppl from australia here buy from them

the courier is depends on your location..if using dhl/fedex then it might take up to 5 or 7 working days but usually 3 working days..
they shipped my SGS on tuesday and i received it on friday in melbourne...

i will highly not recommend using airmail for safety

and also u need to pay tax if u import back to malaysia

DHD will be release in the UK on 11th oct? but t-mobile cs rep say 18th oct. zz. sien. here is the email they sent to me:

Thanks for your email Inn, asking me when the HTC Desire HD will be released with us along with the tariff details.

I can understand how important it's for you to know when this phone will be released and writing into me regarding this.

Inn, I'd like to tell you that the HTC Desire HD will be released on or around 18 October. However, I wouldn't be able to assure you the exact date when it will be released.

It would be foolish of SiS to bring the phone in 2 months late. Between the Desire and DHD i think it was only like what? 6-ish months in between? Desire launch on Feb, available in March, DHD launch in Sept available Oct. If i get my phone so late something newer will prob make me wait for the next 1 liau hahah tongue.gif tongue.gif

By the official available date of DHD in uk if there is no official available date in msia i will look to buy AP set liau. Y wait to pay more to get the same thing later leh? vmad.gif
