M-Life ATX 350 Watts *12cm Fan = RM88

is this power supply adequate for Gigabyte HD 5670 OC edition (i5 760)?

I still wonder why everyone so worries with the branding thinggy?

Just get over it since we just want the performance sleep.gif

Because AMD didn't need to do such a frivolous thing in response to Nvidia's marketing. Imho, they could have gone about normally by sticking with HD 6750 and HD 6770 as was expected and nobody will blink. Taking such a drastic action to break four generations of branding tradition makes AMD appear to be not confident of their own work and weak. The fact that the new "HD 6850" and "HD 6870" is indeed a mid-ranged card forced to wear high-end card boots makes it look even worse.

AMD should respect all of us as customers and just stick to their guns and show some serious integrity. While I'm still hoping otherwise, AMD will lose my respect as a fan if the HD 6700 comes out as the HD 6800.

Don't bother with getting the most powerful IGP. They're very expensive and with APUs (CPU+GPU) coming around next year, they will be obsoleted then. If you need to have a motherboard with an IGP, just take anything that strikes your fancy and meet your other requirements (eg: SATA 6.0Gbps and USB 3.0).

I see. Im currently using the pc for 24hours downloading, light games, photo editing and video editing. Im looking for IGP so that i wont need to install GPU, cuz im afraid 24hours download will make my electricity bill goes upp. But on the other hand, i still need better IGP for video editing and designing (Adobe Illustrator) . My Current HD 4200 IGP does fulfill my job requirement, but recently I've modified my PC interface such as dock icon, animated wallpapers and etc that swallow the performance a little till i need to use GPU NOS to OC the IGP a little.

Unless a GPU has a "on/off" feature then mayb I install one laugh.gif

APU? first time heard it. Need to do more reading on that . Maybe this will become the solution for my problem? laugh.gif

Not a desktop chip, but you might get a better idea with the Zacate APU 18W TDP chips meant for notebooks.

bro and sis, our hd5850s are severely badly awfully threatened by GTX460, is there any point to prove that hd5850 is definitely the winner in single card

AMD Rebranding Radeon HD5700-Series into Radeon HD6700-Series. Reviews here, http://www.techpowerup.com/132459/AMD-Rebr...700-Series.html
That's why Radeon HD6800-Series will be Mid-End for this Series. http://www.techpowerup.com/132432/AMD-Rade...-to-Market.html

FYI, Radeon HD5850 can be OCed to the speed of Radeon HD5870 easily.
There's a forumer even flashed the Radeon HD5850 into Radeon HD5870 completely.

yes, dis is bcoz driver optimization hasn't been done, ATI say future drive release will promise to optimized on LP2.

btw, LP2 uses MT-Framework 2.0 engine, which is use in some other capcom game like RE5.
MT-Framework 2.0 engine always runs a bit faster on nvidia card.

but no need to worry since the engine is capable of producing good IQ wit well over playable frame rate.

i do hope ati prove that 5850 price is worth on its performance instead of gradually overtaking by GTX460. don't make us regret

I hope AMD will release a Driver that will allow/support Radeon HD4000 and HD5000 to have the ability of AMD HD3D.

Using on AMD Chipset, it would hamper with the ability to go SLI without hack therefore making the HD5850 a better choice.

Otherwise, GTX460 cheap enough and performs decently at what it's priced at. Hope they make a price drop on HD5850 brows.gif
