You must be joking that your Metro2033 is not lagging with your single Radeon HD5770... or maybe your eyes got problem or you don't know how to define smooth/or never see something smoother or maybe your FPS demand is low???
Because I tried on GeForce GTX470 and Radeon HD5870. Both also can't get 100% good FPS at all scenes(almost max settings). Usually, all are OK until those strange lighting scenes. FPS got reduced like crazy by then. This post has been edited by DarkSilver: Oct 12 2010, 08:08 PM |

dont be confuse....
the rumored performance, it is based on new naming scheme (if AMD shall go wit it). the 6850 & 6870 is mid range product. more like 5770 & 5830. the performance, well, it is sufficient.... |

If the rumours are true, AMD did not need to downgrade the HD x800 series from high-end to mid-ranged and further compress and devalue the enthusiast class of the HD x900 series.

No. The HD 4800 series was a complete success and a game changer. The HD 6800 series is going to be the black sheep of the family. AMD can save the HD 6800 series by keeping with tradition.
As for pricing, it's probably going to be higher, since the rumours suggest AMD rebranding the HD 5750 and HD 5770 as HD 6750 and HD 6770 respectively. |

guys check this out!
Yeston Designs Radeon HD 5770 X2 Graphics Card Now that AMD seems to have given the 40 nm Juniper GPU (on which are based the Radeon HD 5700 series models) a new lease of life, manufacturers can continue to get innovative with the Radeon HD 5770 GPU. One such board partner, Yeston, designed a Radeon HD 5770 X2 graphics card, which simply put, is a dual-GPU graphics accelerator that makes use of two Radeon HD 5770 GPUs, each with its own 1 GB of GDDR5 memory, that share the PCI-Express interface using a PLX-made bridge chip (perhaps the same one used on the Radeon HD 5970). The PCB holds both GPUs on the obverse side, the PCI-Express bridge chip on the reverse side, and memory chips on both sides. A 4+1 phase VRM is used, additional power is drawn in from just one 6-pin PCI-E power connector. Both GPUs work in tandem via an internal CrossFire interface, it can pair with another Juniper-based graphics card for 3-GPU or 4-GPU CrossFireX. The duo are cooled by a large heatsink, air is circulated by two 90 mm fans. AMD reference clock speeds (for the Radeon HD 5770) of 850 MHz core, and 1200 MHz (4200 MHz GDDR5 effective) memory are used. Display connectivity includes two DVI, one HDMI, and a DisplayPort. Knowing Yeston's reach, it's not very likely that this card will be sold in the US more towards the Asian market. source: techpowerup http://www.techpowerup.com/132662/Yeston-D...phics-Card.html This post has been edited by selferino: Oct 12 2010, 10:37 PM |

QUOTE(angrysnail @ Oct 12 2010, 08:26 PM) serious bro,i'm not kidding..no lag at dx10,not all high..some effect i set high, some medium.. There's "very high" in the selection. i play2 with settings a few times to get optimal display.. High and Medium in Metro 2033 is pretty low demand compared to "very high". Also, reviews already show that Radeon HD5770 very far from being able to max out Metro 2033, especially in DirectX 11 mode. Even DirectX 10 and 9, it's also hard already. If you still insist to say your Radeon HD5770 can play the Metro2033 on almost all max out settings with decent FPS, I would have nothing to say but I would advise you to go medical check up for your eyes. |
