Because naming of the GPU can mislead the consumers sometime.
These companies are too clever. Consumers are mostly ...

Now, they even put crazier slogans, like Military Class or Quality of Choke, Caps and so on. Longer life time.
Or some new technology like Ceramic Coated stuffs. Power phase, power saving.
Hell!!

not enough power going to your graphic card or a pcie connector has become loose. check your cable connections.

It can be your Graphic Card Fan's LED.
It also can be your Graphic Card Power Phases LED.

The HSF design(beautifulness) not as good as Radeon HD5000.
It's like a rectangle with a fan and red lines as well as stickers.
Please AMD/ATi, hire better designer to create the HSF. LOL.
GeForce GT400 Series HSF design is more sexy than this Radeon HD6000.

eh...just name only...not a big deal.
who doesnt google before buy something anyway nowadays, especially pc and electronics

wonder what "Eyespeed" is? hmm.gif
maybe has something to do with 3D?
but 3D and speed...doesnt click very well....

but really hopes its 3D features, cos AMD doesnt have Phsyx too.

my speculation is, Eyespeed is 3D like nvidia 3D surround. why? cos 3D gaming needs 120hz monitor and that's twice the refresh rate of normal monitors (60hz) so you can consider that to be 'faster', hence the eyeSPEED name.

It's not that hard to decipher once you know the details.

6870 mid to high end, 6950, high end, 6970 super high end, 6990 (dual card) ultra high end. anyway, another 8 more days and the answer will be crystal clear. wink.gif

gtx400 series cooler does look cooler. and also more effective since it can handle a sun like fermi. or ATI could just copy one of the aftermarket cooler designs like twin frzr or accelero twin turbo but modify it a bit to not get into legal hot soup and call it stock design.

Well AMD don't have to copy the twin frzr or the twin turbo, they probably have an agreement with the vendors like MSI or Gigabyte not to do so as not to ruin their business... hell.. its probably even written in their agreement.. this is our loss as a consumer.. rclxub.gif

i believe its power phase... sometimes my screen went black for few seconds, not frequently.. before this got red dot all around my screen so i tot it was heat problem. i clean my GC and put it back on and the problem solve.

AMD likes the figure 69
so any high end card from AMD 6series will have a 69 prefix

Look like AMD gives us surprise about something called AMD EyeSpeed and AMD HD3D.
I am not sure what is EyeSpeed. But, AMD HD3D is something similar to Nvidia 3D Vision.

It seems the OpenGL improved too. DirectX 11 also become powerful already.

AMD said that this Radeon HD6000 Series have very powerful OCing headrooms.

ATI Catalyst Control Centre will now called as AMD Catalyst Control Centre.

It seems this series doesn't support Tri or Quad CrossFireX Setup.

there's no problem with that..
IIRC hdmi need licensing.. DP no such things..
for the mass production that will cost less... so users will get the benefit..
