I'm curious to see what major performance boosts they managed with the card. The 800 shader 5770 and 1120 shader 5830 is well and truly beaten out by the GTX 460 right now.
*
it is said the new cards will come mostly with wider bus that is 256-bit for the "Barts" and higher end models will go up to 512-bit bus.

Thats the most significant improvement i presume. But wider bus cost more rather then the cheaper 128-bit.

it's not just mere spec improvement, the is architecture tweak too.

Speculation are just speculation anyway..remember last time HD 4000 series expected performance turnout to be different?

Well,i guess the new series is more in architechture tweak rather than pure speed increament(not just straight increase shader..etc)

Crysis dun have physx features bro.
One good example of a game that utilises physx is Batman Arkham Asylum.

Still, u can enjoy physx now rclxms.gif ...mind to tell how does ur gts250 fair in mafia II physx?

wta smth that is quite general in overclocking gc...
1.we use msi afterburner to oc the gc, so, will the oc configuration will be remain in the gc if we take the gc out and plug into another rig?
2. the oc is done by software, hence does it mean tat it will auto-oc our gc once we only start our window (where d software auto-load up our oc profile)?
3. AFAIK in cpu oc, we oc in the bios, and for gc, i notice it is done with afterburner. Does it mean that we cant oc through bios juz like ocing a cpu?

sry for the noob Q, but i cant shake it off from my heads tongue.gif ...advice is my honour notworthy.gif

anwer:
1) no, it will go to default setting bcz its refer tu driver n setting on another rig..
2) yes.. when u already save the setting n make it auto-load when the windows is start so it will automatically oc refer to your setting..
3) FYI, it is not only afterburner u can use for oc your gc, but the easy n most people use to oc their gc is afterburner..for what i know gc n cpu is a different thing, so the way or method for oc is different..cpu u oc through the bios while the gc u oc through the software or the driver CCC ati its self..

*correct me if im wrong, juz have a lil bit info smile.gif

as far as i know, you can never use ati card as a physx card. nvidia only. if you're talking about hybrid physx, it's ati as main pgu and nvidia as secondary gpu to do physx only http://www.ngohq.com/graphic-cards/17706-h...03-v1-04ff.html
