Some shop sell or double price will be the same. I'll get all double, and pull out one each per downlight if it too bright. But than again, i am a person light bright place, maybe i won't do it.

So your room is roughly 16ft x 11.5ft. My living room is 22ft x 12.5ft and I have 8 x 6" single bulb downlights. Ceiling height is a higher than yours, about 11 feet. It is PLENTY bright. smile.gif

Go for the 6" downlights, single bulb enough la.

The lady I met in Wong Lighting advised that to use 4" diameter vertical downlight. for low ceiling below 9' is suitable.
Based on my mom's house, its plenty bright. rclxms.gif

Hi, anyone can give opinion on this? Upon entering my house, one can see living room, dining and all the way to kitchen at one time. Will it be a bad idea to have 1 ceiling fan at living, 1 at between dining and kitchen, and still have a total of 3 pendant lights - 2 at living and 1 at dining? Is it too messy?

Hi all,

Just wondering if there's anyone out there who can help to find the attached light? Looking to buy the light for my living room.
Went to VIVA mall but to my disappointment, I could not find it there in such a big mall.

It maybe other appliances e.g. Fridge, A/C, and your deco light maybe using halogen which are very energy hunger.

This is normal for new house buyer. After that you will try to control. And guess what, you will find some of the light is not neccessary and waste.

You can do the math, how long you run and add it up.

Say for your 17 4 feet T5, you use 17 x 28watt = 476 Watt per hours + 15% losses (assume) ~ 550 Watt / hours. If you switch on for 24 hours is 550 x 24 = 13Kwatt

Added on December 27, 2011, 10:04 am8 x 15 Watt LED = 120 Watt + 15% losses ~ 140 Watt, x 24 hours = 3.3Kwatt

Don't worry bro... doubt you'll use more than a handful of lights at any one time after you've moved in completely. All the nice deco and L-box lighting will end up only being used when there are guests coming over.

For average days you'll probably just use some downlights to light up specific areas, fridge, air-cond (at night & dependant on HP of unit). You'll probably be looking at a bill of RM200 or so monthly.
