I have been going around hunting for modern and yet affordable modern lights. Some of the better ones are as follows:

A. Tsen Lighting - Sunway Damansara
B. GDO - Sunway Damansara
C. Lamp Decor - Sunway Damansara
D. Black Apple - SS 2

anybody got any comment on T8 lighting?
intend to use it for my entire house.
no starter, therefore no flicking like previous flourescent lights.
any comments and indicative pricing?
thanks.

No need to go around anywhere.
Just go to houses lightings in Puchong (besides Puchong avenue). Everything also cheap.
Bought almost everything there...

T8 just like our normal house light....i think i stay 3 year never change 1 T8.
but i also buy T8 for my L box which is recommend by shop, the headache part is wiring guy...
each T8 come with ballast...so need to do wiring looping ...compare to T5 which come to connector.

I bought 1 set GE T8 and ballast(cheap brand) = RM10/set. only have 2 size 2' and 4' and both is same price as well.

I found cheaper price than house lighting...which save another rm30-40 for rm1.2K socket/switch so i will still buy from house lighting.

Hi,

i nd some advice. My living area is 4850mm x 3500mm and ceiling height is around 9 feet. I hve opened up 8 downlight points. My question - shall i install 4" downlights with 2 light bulbs or 6" downlights with 2 light bulbs?

The electrician guy said 4" is sufficient where else the lighting shop guy said i nd at least 6", he don't recommend 4" ...

Can anyone please share with me their comments?

Thanks.

Hi Guys,

Any idea where to find this lights below (centre one)? There's 2 size, the 1200mm in width is the largest, i need to buy 2. Top Ten is selling for RM1250 per set (ex-stock) while another shop in Dsara Utama is selling for RM1100 but stock will only come in end of next month.

Thanks! thumbup.gif

I am curious if anybody here know why led warm white lifespan is shorter than cool white and daylight? Also, how do we know how bright is the light compared with the normal light watt? Wish to adopt a greener lifestyle but don't know how to make the comparison and invest in right thing. Hope someone can help here.

Terima kasih.

So your room is roughly 16ft x 11.5ft. My living room is 22ft x 12.5ft and I have 8 x 6" single bulb downlights. Ceiling height is a higher than yours, about 11 feet. It is PLENTY bright. smile.gif

Go for the 6" downlights, single bulb enough la.
