i used to be this huge footie n rock fella since i was eleven.......n so i was pretty close to a few guy frens...
my problem started when i had a crush on one of them...it was hurtin because he called me his 'buddy' and told me bout his gfs...
it took me so freakin long to get over it...n i even told him but he just brushed it off as a joke..
didnt see him for years now...
my opinion....guys n gals can NEVER be JUST good frens...
surely either one party or another would feel something 'more'...

imho...gals n guys can be good fren as long as they know the boundaries between them...for me myself,i treat my gal frens diff from my gf...i treat them just like i treat my boy frens...

umm..for me..close friend can..but best friend must be a guy!! hehehe~
girls are sensative creatures..so better not make ur gf jealous

what is the different between close and best fren ?

If i say me and my fren know each other few years, and until today we still connecting. When we meet we scold each other, laugh at each other, and punch each other. So u call that best fren or close fren ?

i hav a good gal fren, not girl fren. female good fren i mean. we talk wat also, even our deepest words, problems.

we also talk from night to morning also. once a while lar......haha ^^

a guy and a girl not necessary become boyfren and girlfren. depends how the friendship was built.

normally, for a guy is always think of "she" become my girlfren. coz i'm a guy also. haha ^^ but now i realise that is not true.

Well i do have a very nice female fren she un me alot and i un her too. A single gancle between us can tell much without words. Everything i also can discuss with her but i never think to make her my gf or have any fancy thought of her. But now she is married lol so we seldom go out or chat over phone anymore.

can you share your deepest darkest secret with him/her? and besides ur gf/bf..do you think of him/her whenever you wanna do something (e.g:going to the movies,hanging out together,shopping..etc)

well..i dunno that's my opinion..hehe~ for me best fren is like the relationship super tight wan..while close frens are more like jz close and hang out buddies..but u'll never share ur private stuff/dark secret with them..

Haha, a girl and a guy can DEFINITELY be good friends. =) i mean, sometimes it's even better having a guy as your best frend than a girl. You'll be shock with the amount of girls that actually rather tell their best guy friends their problems than their girlfriends. =) I,myself personally have more guy friends than girl friends...and i enjoy the company of my guy friends, they are laid back, fun to be with, funny, they like to fool around, sometimes you think they dont care- but when you're in trouble or sad, you'll really see what a gd frend they are... =)

obviously, feelings can develop from there, AT TIMES. NOT ALL TIMES.
+ how do you expect relationships to work out without being friends with a person first. I mean i wouldnt want a guy who i'm not even friends with to be my bf, i dont even know him. BUT THAT doesnt mean being gd frends, means DEFINITELY one of them likes the other. =)

Sure can be good friends.
but other ppl will think other thing such as saying the guy is chasing the gal.

Its normal, coz by natural the guy will oni approach the girl he likes. So when the guy and gal get too close, sure there will have people who misunderstood.

it really depends on individual.
certain ppl can draw the boundary so they will never cross over the friends line. but some i believe certain guys do have some slightest feeling or rather fantasy for their pretty girl 'friends'.

erm....i think can gua....but sumtime when they suddenly come to u then sure got sumthin de.....but tis not apply to all la....
