yeah, IINM, for iPhone3GS, if you wanted a Singapore set, you would *have* to buy thru Singtel / StarHub / M1.

now it looks like we can buy from Apple Online Store... just need a Singapore credit card

they are still bitter because of teh impending lawsuit and also criminal proceeding against them for the iphone 4 prototype leak not too long ago and also being banned from any apple related events for the foreseeable future

omg, i just noticed it. you can buy iPhone 3GS now, and iPhone 4 next month from Apple Store directly. iPhone 3GS 8gb only MYR 1718 with 1-3 days delivery.

o is it true we'll need the Singapore CC?

Finally they selling straight from the Apple Store and no longer from the telcos.
I believed Maxis and Digi (and also the rest of telcos around the world that have contracts with Apple) have BAD experience in handling customer complaints and Stock inventory. Its easier for the telcos just to sell their data packages than to handle phone business.

And you can also buy at "Reduced Pricing" from the telcos.
I think this will be model almost everywhere around the world where the customers have choices.... Buy directly from Apple Store or from the Telcos.

Hey guys, I am also planning to buy iphone 4 when it is released later in july..But reading from the earlier post, it is said that we need a singapore credit card to purchase the iphone. I want to know whether I can use our local credit cards to purchase from the apple store and have it shipped to local house address. Is there anyone here that can help me out with this issue?

Singapore online store (like Malaysian online store) will only deliver to your billing address ... or if you specify, any other address within the Singapore borders. that also means you will need to use a Singapore credit card

They might be bitter but still his review is pretty much being neutral with pros and cons of the new iPhone 4.

It seems to me he did a good job without prejudice on it.

Should be delivered to home address since there's no physical Apple Store in Singapore. I doubt Apple will deploy the same tactic here since it's very much dependent on their current contracts with the telcos.

Someone needs to balance out all the "reception" issue negativity, with others who had not experienced the problem at all. We all know how people LOVE to blow things out of proportion, especially in light of a successful product launch.

I honestly have not got any problem with reception, in fact the opposite happens. I get stronger reception signal instead in areas where historically had been problematic.

Then again, those who had no problems and enjoying their iPhone 4s wouldn't be so inclined to praise as much as the detractors and whiners with their problematic iPhones. They're having too much fun with their units to even bother writing in.
