just plug in your iPhone into iTunes after the update and iTunes will pull down the IPCC.
you only need to manually key in APN for those telco who are not iPhone partner |

yeah, IINM, for iPhone3GS, if you wanted a Singapore set, you would *have* to buy thru Singtel / StarHub / M1.
now it looks like we can buy from Apple Online Store... just need a Singapore credit card |

Singapore online store (like Malaysian online store) will only deliver to your billing address ... or if you specify, any other address within the Singapore borders. that also means you will need to use a Singapore credit card
feel free to try it out, http://store.apple.com/sg |

I have friends in Maxis One Club too but I preferred to purchase overseas, as when iPhone1,2 launched, it wasn't available factory unlocked for nearly 9 months. during those 9 months, I was quite happy to keep updating my phone, not worried about jailbreaking / unlocking ... also, local price worldwide seems to be quite close, difference of RM50 each... I got in NZ for RM2485, MY price was RM2490, now new iPhone3,1 is RM24xx too... so I may buy my next one from SG. since I can easily claim warranty, and maybe even get ACPP for my iPhone |

you guys... are really missing the point. iPhone was *not* designed for the technically minded like all of us here. Cydia is like that, technical and definitely made for the hardcore among us.
Multi-tasking on iOS 4 is for everyone else. the ones who will appreciate that you can listen to your streaming Pandora music while running the tom-tom navigator in the background... here's the main point >> WITHOUT ANY complex stuff. just update the apps, and its done! that ease of use is that iOS 4 is all about. Use it as designed... if you don't like it, here's 2 options. 1. leave. go buy an Android / WM7 / what ever phone you like. 2. cydia your phone, and 'manage' your phone yourself. *do not come here and complain that Apple's approach sucks. cos they've managed to sell more phones to more non-technical people than any other company has to date. |

based on our forumer (stringfellow) who tried... he said the proximity sensor & home button slightly mis-aligned.
typical... don't expect to keep using the same form factor for 3 years |

here's my suggested usage.
use iPhone like you normally would. use the Fast App Switching, so you can quickly resume to any previous app. use the Force App Quit, only when you feel your phone is slow / laggy. iOS4 is smart enough to quit unused Apps when it needs to. |

message to moderator : can we have a separate thread for people having problems with their iOS 4? cos I'd like to help them, but its a different topic already...
personally, I updated to iOS 4... yeah, now waiting around for the developers to *release* their iOS 4 compatible apps... its so cool to be able to keep your place... on a phone! |
