bro,u need to re-setting back the configuration..

Setting > General > Network > Cellular Data Network..
and make sure Cellular Data is ON and Enable 3G.
I was facing the same problem with yours..
but after i reconfig, it was ok.

Battery life did improve alot (i feel it)  smile.gif
Speed from lock to unlock status until go in application, it was improve.
Updated to iOS4 take about 20~30mins, everything go smooth..
i believe some setting or config need to reenter.

3G is more stable compare with previous.

Anyone from Maxis can explain the warranty issue?

hello iPhone 3G owners

can you guys help me out a bit? smile.gif can someone make a list of iOS 4 features that's not supported for iPhone 3G? i want to add it in the FAQ section. i only know multitasking and screen lock. if anyone can contribute more, i'd appreciate it.

and another thing, is it possible to change the multitask button to single click home button, and 'quit app' to double click?

thanks in advance!

Try dragging an icon on top of another. It should automatically create a Folder if you're running iOS4.

drag and drop the apps onto 1 another to create folders,AND only 12 apps per folder

it seems many ppl are still unaware confused on how to use certain features for ios 4.maybe we should post a guideline on page 1

If maxis 3g, please enable the 3g.

For Digi, you may disable or enable the 3g in the network.

For me, digi work fine for the whole afternoon

the original poster said he/she already turned on Cellular data. so i guess it's not solved yet? is restarting the phone a sure fix?

as for jailbroken phones, they'll lose all apps when they upgrade to iOS 4 right?

sorry ya...quite hard being TS of an iphone thread but not actually owning an iphone hahahaha. one day one day smile.gif

Hi everyone.

I've decided to be safe than sorry. Although many are saying that iOS4 works well on a 3G, I've read many complains against it. As mentioned by a heavy 3G user, iOS4 is meant for the future, not the past. I think it could support well with 3GS (maybe), but I think there're rather heavy problems on 3G, till the extend of damaging ur 3G set.

Also, I would like to show a big appreciation to those who take the effort to warn others about it and tell your problems. I would like all of u to know that your reviews or postings really matter to all iPhone users out there. You may be unaware those who have benefitted from your comment as they might just read and leave, but I'm happy to tell you that I really appreciate it.

So, my finals words for iOS4 is that, I won't be downloading it. Just be happy with what I'm having and better to be safe than sorry. If wanna use iOS4, save up enough money to get one in the future then.

Here're some posts (from Apply Discussion board) that provide more details (click at the link provided):

iOS4 A Big Mistake
iOS4 Destroyed my iPhone 3G

Just a warning and advice to all 3G users.
