QUOTE(robincheah @ Jun 23 2010, 01:01 AM) Hi everyone. lolI've decided to be safe than sorry. Although many are saying that iOS4 works well on a 3G, I've read many complains against it. As mentioned by a heavy 3G user, iOS4 is meant for the future, not the past. I think it could support well with 3GS (maybe), but I think there're rather heavy problems on 3G, till the extend of damaging ur 3G set. So, my finals words for iOS4 is that, I won't be downloading it. Just be happy with what I'm having and better to be safe than sorry. If wanna use iOS4, save up enough money to get one in the future then. Here're some posts (from Apply Discussion board) that provide more details (click at the link provided): iOS4 A Big Mistake iOS4 Destroyed my iPhone 3G Just a warning and advice to all 3G users. actually it depends how the user update.. if u get the steps right then u will be fine..or maybe u r unlucky 1 to have the problem once the iOS4 released,i dl and update straight away with my jailbroken iphone 3g 3.1.2..at first im stuck in emergency call for no reason after updated..but after 3rd attempt to update it works..now i jailbreak again and everything just fine |

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Jun 23 2010, 01:49 AM) yes but its not a big issue with me,bcoz the impact on performance and batt life is vry minimal.if thrs some heavy games or apps thn i will close it i know but the problem is there are tons of apps listed in the bar.i need scroll many times to find the app..lets say i open 20 apps de..the last app is Skype. when i wan switch to skype,i need to scroll all the way to last bar and switch it.. i need Apple need to make a limitation that only allow around 8 apps to be remained in the bar..when u open the app, then the last app u closed will be out of list.. like Android QUOTE(alwinc @ Jun 23 2010, 01:56 AM) ya..so i jailbreak it and i can get iphone 3gs features(multitask, home wallpaper) |

QUOTE(pennzoil @ Jun 23 2010, 11:59 AM) My 3G are below 10MB if i run with multitasking and home screen wallpaper on, and pretty slow, need to constantly kill the background program to maintain at 30MB+. i dont have any problem with multitasking in my iphone 3g..I try to kill some service later and and use sbsetting to free memory and and results 4X - 5XMB . Obviously 3G's internal memory are not enough to handle multitasking..... itry to test and run as many apps as i can and left below 10MB but still can run normally...lets say i left 8MB left and i open other app such as NBA Live, it still run smooth for me..the thing is i need to manually close the apps in multitasking bar to free up memory and home screen wallpaper can make ur iphone 3g not being smooth..thats why i off it and back to smooth |

Just be patience and wait for the iPhone 4 |

QUOTE(barteria @ Jun 25 2010, 11:42 PM) aiyo no need to ask la any more lah. majority iphone 4 is having this issue n apple is aware of that from the beginning so thats y they make that bumpers. u urself hv read that in gizmodo as well as engadget too. oo so why dont they including bumper in the package too?many users prefer naked iphone instead of casing bro.. and gizmodo also reported that some of the volume button has been swapped http://gizmodo.com/5572624/the-latest-ipho...-volume-buttons |

QUOTE(psyeo @ Jul 17 2010, 03:52 AM) I second that, and if he read carefully he'll know that the death grip problem happen only in "certain area" too which normally means bad reception area i believe the "certain area" keyword is referring to BB bold..i watched some youtube that even a full bar(i believe not bad reception area?) can drop to 0 too... |

for me, the overall of press conference not "convincing" enough..
thought they will have a better solution but they keep comparing with other phones and no points for it... just hope they will "secretly" fix it |
