Hi everyone.

I've decided to be safe than sorry. Although many are saying that iOS4 works well on a 3G, I've read many complains against it. As mentioned by a heavy 3G user, iOS4 is meant for the future, not the past. I think it could support well with 3GS (maybe), but I think there're rather heavy problems on 3G, till the extend of damaging ur 3G set.

So, my finals words for iOS4 is that, I won't be downloading it. Just be happy with what I'm having and better to be safe than sorry. If wanna use iOS4, save up enough money to get one in the future then.

yes but its not a big issue with me,bcoz the impact on performance and batt life is vry minimal.if thrs some heavy games or apps thn i will close it

any iphone 3g users here already upgrade to ios4? i upgraded mine.. but ntg much changes ler..

downloading itunes 9.2 now before upgrading to iOS4. just need some clarification from the sifus here. my ip is not jbed and running on version 3.1.3. i read from this thread that it is advisable to restore the phone b4 upgrading. can i skip this step? i dont want to lose all my smses, my whatsapp logs and my saved games. like need for speed underground, i just dont want to replay all the levels again to unlock and buy cars 

so can i just skip the restore phone part and just update? plus im planning to make sure my ip is on full battery and just restart it b4 upgrading to the new OS. advise plz.

My 3G are below 10MB if i run with multitasking and home screen wallpaper on, and pretty slow, need to constantly kill the background program to maintain at 30MB+.
I try to kill some service later and and use sbsetting to free memory and and results 4X - 5XMB .
Obviously 3G's internal memory are not enough to handle multitasking.....

if you are using i3G, u have to activate these service thru redsnow, means jailbreak

when i run apps like godfinger, its super slow if the apps stay at background....but overall its still ok to me, just need to think twice before launch any app and check the multitask all the time.....

Any iphone 3GS users here experiencing incoming call lag for few seconds (1-2 sec) before the phone start ringing on iOS4 ?

aiyo no need to ask la any more lah. majority iphone 4 is having this issue n apple is aware of that from the beginning so thats y they make that bumpers. u urself hv read that in gizmodo as well as engadget too.

Nothing is perfect. Good thing there are no cracks in iPhone 4 like those in 3G and 3GS.

of course its their way of profiting. its all about money nowadays.

I second that, and if he read carefully he'll know that the death grip problem happen only in "certain area" too which normally means bad reception area
