If MX 5021 is that good,then they won't reduce the amount of stuffs inside.
I think the quality is not that good nowadays.

I listened to all THX certified speakers, Altec Lansing MX5021, Logitech Z2300 and Razer Mako. All have the same characteristics that you said.....

What's the use of THX certified?

Frankly speaking,I like S530D more than those THX certified things..

Many professional audio gear doesn't have THX certified and they sound really good.

for me is not a good thing, i agree what you said. Edifier speakers and non THX certified sounds much accurate to me...
THX just like enhancement style, i hardly hear what the people in the movie said when using Z2300 THX certified speaker.

But no joke, those THX speakers are real loud...but the details all those, MX5021 and Razer Mako is a lot better than Z2300. But the cert is just for fun after all....

loudness just indicate whether much power is needed to push it or not..
so not really a big deal also..
my edifier r1900t3 also can sound very loud..

Z2300 and MX5021, is kind of real 'boom dao luan'. Ceiling vibrate, window vibrate but not real clear details.

i think mx5021 is detail enough for the price tag of rm550. What do you expect the sq from that kind of price? not much right? but must pair it with good source to optimize it

A cheaper speaker versus a more expensive one but I'm sure the details of S330 is better than MX 5021.

@ rxy: i'm not sure when mx5021 compare with s330 coz never audition s330...maybe next time right now, i juz compare it with c3 and my earphone..fyi my earphone sound better than mx5021! haha!

C3 should be alright as well..

R1900T3 is pure stereo...2.0..kinda different from C3..
but got potential to max out its bass..

c3 is cheap for something good....if you are unsatisfied like most c3 owners... you can try to mod it... i can help you with that =)
eg. first of all the sub must be 4 ohms 6 inches... you can purchase that cheap from recycle shoops
