heh my first post here =)
can make yourself such cable, no need super power aspensive ones
inside your stock edifire later get bottle neck back to square one
just buy slightly more high qualiyt cable and plugs from jln pasar will do

you don't want your cable to cost more than your china/taiwan parts on the inside right? haha

@Forgotten06:Thanks for the clarification.
Wow,got so much freebies.
Good.
What about Edifier S330/D or S530D?

@beggarmaster2000:If he were into DIY,he would have made it himself.
I'm not really sure what's the real purpose of you saying such things.
Humiliating?
And did we mention anything about super expensive ones?
We also saying something like RM100 when his speakers costs RM699.

can there be 'bottlenecks' with speaker systems? i dont think that a piece of minijack+2RCA jack+cable costing rm60 with a named brand would 'bottleneck' my system but yea, havent tried it yet so theres a possibility of it happening yes? if so, how to know that theres a bottlenecking happening? the sound sangkut2 or got buzzing noise or what?

just ordered the asus xonar dx to match it with my edifier + roccat kave. will arrive hopefully this coming week so will be rigging them up using the standard interconnect cables first. wotiyo just replied my pm and he is ready to custom the said cables if im going for it later.

hmmn i'm not an expert, but you'll need to change all the rest other cables to justify 1 good cable in between.
at least thats what i think, please, feel free to shoot me down
---==---------- something like this kinda feeling =)

like i asked, how to know there is bottlenecking going on? the sound pecah2 or buzzing or how? like an old cpu bottlenecked, the picture will stutter and the sound would be out of sync for a full hd blu-ray movie as an example, so how do we know that there is a sound system bottlenecking?

The bottlenecking would happen in a form of clarity things like that.
It wouldn't crack your sound.
If let say a HiFi cable pair with your system, then perhaps your speakers will cause bottleneck.Got it?

Added on August 8, 2010, 4:55 pmbeggarmaster is right.
normally have to change all the cables to feel the total change.
but in ur case, perhaps you can try first, whether the mini>rca interconnect make any difference.

Hi guys , just bought M3300sf from PC fair today . Everything is just fine , and the sounds produced are great . Except 1 thing that i want to ask , after i plug in my earphone into the headphone jack , isn't the speaker should be completely mute and only the earphone have sound ? My case both speaker and earphone also got sound when playing music .

Thanks .

i just bought edifier m3300sf. i encounter a few problem:
1) subwoofer so soft cannot feel boom boom sound
2) speaker giving buzzing sound. really headce
3) at first i test the speaker with a instrumental and it played great. then, i test it with a song and the singer voice is so dull. i open with full volume and the sound still dull. the surround music is fine.

I think you are expecting too much from the setup

did you test the speaker with other source like mp3 player,cd player or different computer to check if the buzzing noise still appears
if the buzzing noise gives you headache, you can always send it back for warranty.

did you put the subwoofer on the floor? because putting a subwoofer on the table is stupid and it results weak bass.
M3300SF subwoofer is definitely weak,I have to agree. You can try putting the subwoofer at corners on the floor. this way should help increase bass

upgrade your soundcard as good source provides good sound
poor soundcard might give you rubbish sound
the buzzing sound of the speaker might come from your soundcard, not your speaker

i am an ex-owner of M3300 before. I understand the weak subwoofer issue, but you can do something for it. set the bass knob to about 3/5 and use this guide.

as power911 mentioned out, greater soundcard will help on the overall performance.

ok guys, got my xonar dx, installed with its software and latest drivers. tweaked here and there and yes, im very satisfied. the sounds are so much clearer, fuller and cleaner. cant actually believe my da 5000 pro sounds this good, cant imagine either the sound quality if i had bought the S550. waiting for my 5.1 roccat KAVE to arrive to enjoy the surrond sound with a headset. biggrin.gif

Planning to rewiring all my M3300 this few days. Had modded my satelite cable by cut and crimp to a connector instead of taking off the grill because i don't plan to spoil it. Indeed very good improvement, next will be interconnector.
