But the thing is initially..
The setup is Computer>>Right Speaker(RCA Interconnect)>>Left Speaker(Speaker Cable)..
If I were to replace it with a subwoofer, can I just connect them with the speaker cable without connecting line in with right speaker anymore?
*
if using realtek can just use connector retasking instead of splitter.

nope. if you set the other jack into headphone / front speaker. the sound will be exactly as the main jack. so it will sound most of the time.

not all realtek can do it. just right click the jack at the control panel and select retasking.

hi....i'm new member...i have bought edifier C6, sounds is good, but not enough from the Sub woofer, i think SW not enough deep, and i feel the SW is not enough power, what is the trick for SW more deep/power ? i hate the bass sound if i used it for movie, only mid/high is excellent.... smile.gif

thx....
*
check this or this out. i managed to get decent oomph from my R501 with that. another note, the bass level for sub sometimes not necessarily max. my R501 become too boomy and unpleasant if set to max, thus leave at default 5/9. however that is for music only, for movie have to use ffdshow's superEQ but it's not as good.

seems that i cant find the edifier s750 anywhere. it is not available anymore? if the s550 doesnt support digital/THX, i feel like the DA 5000 Pro would be sufficient eh?
*
well depending on your expectations, but from the way i see it, DA5000P should be worth it, since it's almost half the price of S550. yes the S550 does not take digital input (coaxial and optical) so analog only...

Hi, I am new user of HCS5640 in my HTPC for my new Pana V20. Plasma. Add me, the speaker is good, but not the really good! Can some one help me, how to calibrate? In movies?
*
which you want to 'calibrate'? position, treble, midrange, bass or?

QUOTE(ryosuke @ Jul 28 2010, 11:37 PM)
Thanks for the suggestion, i tried to trouble shoot today. The problem goes away when i deactivated the natural bass in "dobly control centre"

sound card, i check from device manager it says realtek high definition audio  unsure.gif
*
dolby natural bass is really lousy. i have it in my laptop and always disable them. bring no use except for muddy bass.

I buy the 2nd hand sound card of Auzentech X-Plosion 7.1 Cinema. I position the speaker in 5.1 position then I mount the seround speaker on behind wall already. The center speaker I place below the TV. What software can calibrate the distance sound reach my ear?
*
actually in 5.1 the surround speakers suppose to be on the side instead of rear. rear speakers are used in 7.1 instead. the sound distance, of course you can locate them according to this.

i don't know which part of the sound you want to improve to make the speaker 'sound good as possible', as sound is subjective, what good to others may not be good to you.

Edifier SoundbarUSB??

I just visited the international website and it appears that there is new interesting product from Edifier. In addition, I also found that MP300+, E1100, E3350 and M20 has been renamed to 'Aurora', 'Prowler', 'Prisma', and 'PrimeUSB' respectively. Now waiting for the USB soundbar details. looks interesting with slim form factor.

Wow,so many new names..
Is it a good sign or not?
Hopefully it is..
*
i am concerned that edifier will become 'fashion' PC speakers manufacturer instead of the 'quality sound at affordable price', seeing their latest products mainly focus on design. laugh.gif just hope it's not. we need newer 2.1 / 5.1 M and R series products! tongue.gif

According to Mr.Edifier,S750 might replace the 180W sub with 300W one@@
I am not so sure about that..
Hmm,perhaps they fuse in 'fashion' and 'quality' into the same thing.
Just dun discontinue S series product then ok..
R series products are good too..
Like Edifier R1900T3...
eh,nismo91,where's ur location?
saw ur logitech z cinema..suddenly felt like visiting.lol.
*
\haha currently at singapore... if im at msia probably welcome for audition., anyway the z cinema i gave it to my bro, now left with the ADA885 and Edifier R501... ADA885 is built from 1999. yet after a decade altec doesn't really create a true successor to it. gotta love the 27hz (only in very proper location), SPDIF input and 'smart' rear speakers. though must admit when it comes to music it's abit dull to me.

WOw,guess the AL ADA885 is legend?
The real good stuff from AL..not like not so good ones nowadays..
*
well perhaps one of the legend... tongue.gif i got it from my classmate not long ago. it's one of those speakers which sounded better when listened afar instead of in front of the speakers itself... wide soundstage too. the special part is the flexible rear speakers, can be attached to the front, or attached to the rear base. i do not see another altec products being this flexible. laugh.gif

QUOTE(ainuddin @ Jul 31 2010, 05:20 PM)
ok, got myself the DA 5000 Pro. sound quite good for my kind of usage. currently using the cables provided by Edifier for the output line to the speakers. will changing them to the thicker fluorescent cables that large speaker system use like in the disco change the sound quality?
*
if you change cables it will bring better performance. but is it worth it or is the speakers really benefit from the cables is the question.

i just bought edifier m3300sf. i encounter a few problem:
1) subwoofer so soft cannot feel boom boom sound
2) speaker giving buzzing sound. really headce
3) at first i test the speaker with a instrumental and it played great. then, i test it with a song and the singer voice is so dull. i open with full volume and the sound still dull. the surround music is fine.
*
i am an ex-owner of M3300 before. I understand the weak subwoofer issue, but you can do something for it. set the bass knob to about 3/5 and use this guide.

as power911 mentioned out, greater soundcard will help on the overall performance.

lol, i remember the AL VS4121 use only particle board, that's why 6.5" woofer become so light, compared to other 6.5" competitors.

so the input ground is yellow colour wire, output ground is the shield. But i saw both ground are linked together in the volume control circuit board.

thanks for your pic, perhaps with some 'tricks' i can give input to M3300 without the use of remote control.

@beggarmaster2000

I am with rxy on this one. This is a 'fan'club. If you have any terrible experience with Edifier products then contact Mr.Edifier or Edifier official support directly. If you are offended by Edifier international products pics because you can't buy them here, then there is always online shopping right?

No offense, but I think your posts are unnecessary in this fanclub thread.
