I just went to YL last weekend, and saw a few copies of the 85L for sale second hand. But I think those are the Mark I, not the newer Mark II version. List price is about RM5k according to the sticker YL put on those 85L's

Difference between 18-55 and 18-135mm?

18-55m ---> 3x zoom
18-135mm---> 7.5x zoom

Is this is the only difference?As another forumer ask me this

No. Optical quality might be a little different. Max aperture at different focal lengths might be different.

One thing's for sure, a proper focus ring on the 18-135.

1. Both are kit lens for 550D.
2. Both are similar in optical quality, don't expect the WOW as in L.
3. Both having same IS technology.
4. 18-135 feel more solid.
5. 18-135 use 67mm filter, 18-55 use 58mm filter.
6. Both lens front end don't rotate, so good for polarizer (CPL).

that's all i can think of now, to know more, i suggest u....goooooooooooooogle "18-135 review".

The 18-55 IS's front does rotate while focusing. But the 18-135 does not.

Walaoweh, only use 16-35L soooo temberang already...
And his theory is applicable for people with Parkinson's only (no pun intended)...
All these while I shoot with my 14L II and 15 Fisheye at f/8 to f/16 also never had any problem leh, just need to have firm Wing Chun stand...
