Yeah, International Camera Service is a nice place to shop. They let you try everything and are very friendly. Plus, can try all those Think Tank bags too. QUOTE(vikingw2k @ Jun 7 2010, 11:53 PM) I always love rare, unique exotic lenses but not MF la. My Tilt Shift 24mm L already a pain in the arse. So how's the mighty one compared to the plain vanilla F1.2? Would be awesome if you have the time to do a mini review/comparison.

QUOTE(niwooe @ Jun 8 2010, 05:21 PM) yeah, I'm more concerned on the focusing issues on the Sigma apparently since mine does not have microadjusting, which would be a hassle to send over and calibrate. thx for the suggestion though anymore thoughts? Since you already have the 24, I think 30 would be a little too close in terms of FoV? Maybe a 50 1.4 or something with the 135L.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 14 2010, 10:17 AM) Ah ha. Looks like a quite good price. Does it by default comes with a hood? Yup, it comes with a hood. Unlike cheap Canon, only give hoods for their L lenses

QUOTE(awyongcarl @ Jun 14 2010, 07:04 PM) lol guys, just wondering if any of you folks here have actually seen a 2nd hand unit 85L on sale? YL? Forums? I just went to YL last weekend, and saw a few copies of the 85L for sale second hand. But I think those are the Mark I, not the newer Mark II version. List price is about RM5k according to the sticker YL put on those 85L's

QUOTE(BirdyFoto @ Jun 15 2010, 12:06 AM) 6. Both lens front end don't rotate, so good for polarizer (CPL). that's all i can think of now, to know more, i suggest u....goooooooooooooogle "18-135 review". The 18-55 IS's front does rotate while focusing. But the 18-135 does not.

But the good thing about having the 18-135 kit is that you won't need to change lens everytime you want something longer then 55mm Convenience vs Range la, see what you prefer.

Yup, both serves different purposes. Convenience VS Quality For me I use zooms when covering paid events and primes when I'm taking pictures during my own leisure time. Can't beat zooms for convenience and cant beat primes for quality.

QUOTE(mauinsons @ Jun 17 2010, 03:56 PM) Saw in previous page about DSLR = Digital Camera.... which reminds me of the incidents that I always encounter during concert in Genting At the entrance there's a banner stating "no professional camera". How do they define "professional camera"? I always ask the staffs but none can answer and will only say "no photography allowed". I followed up with "what if I see people snapping photos with a DC?", answer is "you go to stop them".... WTH!! And always before concert starts, the screen will only show "no flash allowed". So we can still take photo without flash? then how come can't bring in camera?? I'm confused Last time I went up to Genting to watch a concert by Astro, I used my 70-200 with no hassle. No flash la of course. Probably depends on who checks you when you're entering the place. QUOTE(awyongcarl @ Jun 17 2010, 04:26 PM) I bet we will see ianho posting a 1D4 tonight =D Or a 1Ds Mark III

Don't bother with the 18-55 IS's hood. It's so shallow, its useless. I use to have one last time, so I know.
