QUOTE(vikingw2k @ Jun 8 2010, 08:44 PM) Precisely. Cant expect much due to the big ass glass. 1D series will help to boost the focusing a little. Well, last time i bought, it was RM7.3k, 85L was 8.5k something? That's not really a big gap Imo..85L and 70-200 price gap is kinda far away Where did you bought yours from? Shashinki? if yes, send back to them to claim. I bought 4 sets of 4x Powerex 2700 from Shashinki and face the same problem. A year later they told me there's one batch facing manufacture defect. I sent back and they replaced 4 brand new sets of Imedion for me. |

QUOTE(deodorant @ Jun 8 2010, 10:55 PM) walau the LR3 example on the adobe page ... dunno can believe or not one ... if really so good then can whack iso 3200 shooting already ... I find it hard to believe tho LOL... only one way to find out ... one of you guys faster upgrade and do test @wingster just go shashinki and add it up la. Pretty sure a lot of detail is loss, no matter how good a noise reduction program is, how it works shouldn't be have too much diff.. |

So its true that 5D2 has a price cut of 500USD dollar globally? o.O
Shashinki selling 5D2 body only for 7.2k now, from 9k. 5d2 kit as well, going for 10k from 12k. What could this mean? lol |

50D will be even more Ergonomic, solid and nice to hold. It will makes you think the otherwise of what you are thinking of 550D now.
Unless weight and size is a factor of your choice, 50D will be a better one. |

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Jun 15 2010, 02:18 AM) That was random..But thanks for visiting lol. I've been thinking, will 85L do much good on a APS-H? Or actually I should just save up more for a FF and fully utilize 2470 before buying a prime..Meh. This post has been edited by awyongcarl: Jun 15 2010, 02:42 AM |

QUOTE(ianho @ Jun 15 2010, 10:50 AM) My observations between my 5D n 1D- When I 1st plugged in the 17-40 f4 to the 1D, I was like "where the heck did the bokeh disappear to?". It really is that much less creamy. Had to get a 16-35 f2.8 to gain back the bokeh. The FF rendition is just so much creamier n smoother it's kinda unexplainable in words. So if u were to plug in ur current lenses to an FF, ur reaction is gonna be the opposite which will go like "phwoarrrrrrrr where the heck did all this bokeh come from?" I dont understand what Canon puts in the 1D(mebe it's got some fairy dust inside So I reckon u shud get an FF instead of an 85L. Coz f4 on the FF is already damn nice, f2.8 is almost too much and f1.4 is already over the nose bleed limit on a FF. Thanks a lot |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 15 2010, 02:22 PM) Found a Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 non-VC with 1 year warranty for RM 1350. If not in a hurry or urgent, save more only buy lor If only I had sufficient extra money for a new unit. It's always advisable to do that unless you never mind a used unit or in an urgent |

Awesomeness and convenient of zoom lens are undeniable.
In fact it's the reason that keeps me away from trying Prime lenses. Ohh man 2470. Till I find a good reason to move to prime (aperture and sharpness actually), this lens will be sticking on my camera all the time lol |
