guys i got abit of confuse on this sentence on 24-105L

QUOTE
It can be used wide open at f4 and still yield very sharp images and with the 3 stops of stabilization which the IS system provides, it's useful for low light work as well.

how to define as 3 stops of stabilization? or how to calculate?

Dear Uncle Ian, as they call you. Do you mind also sharing how much in terms of rough % discount i can get from the suggested retail price in HK? Take for example in KL the 580 EX II is selling for RM2060 (Canon's Price), street price we can get around RM1500.

Thanks again!
*
Come here.. Roland Lim's Hong Kong Price List
he always update his "always go to shop price"

580 EXII is around RM1353 HKD 3300 @ 0.41

LOL..
last year december around christmas i went there to buy
24-105L when the conversion tat time is 0.38 i can get the 24-105L @ HKD 7800 around RM3100++ (Original Box)
due to no stock i have to get 2nd hand unit RM3600 white box(5d mkii kit lens)

but few months back i bought Tokina Fisheye Malaysia selling RM1950
I bought @ HK (HKD3650 @ RM1500) i saved rm450..

Normally L Lens selling @ HK is slightly cheaper than Malaysia around RM1k+

You don't know simple trick. Put your lens inside your camera bag. The box just take out all the paperwork then unfold the box like t its original and put in between your clothes to prevent it from getting squashed if you like the box so much  tongue.gif I will check when I am there and hopes the HK dollar drops sky high laugh.gif
*
hhahaha since i always go to HK quite often...
my research tells me go there when almost towards end of the year.. the HKD normally falls.. but just my surveying only..
btw if you don't want disappointment my suggestion is to call first before going there. BTW never ever go there when holiday especially CHRISTMAS.. if not you sure CRY back.. lol
