One more thing, the zoom feeling on the Tamron VC version is too stiff compared to the really orgasmic zoom feeling on the non-VC version. One more reason that I chose the non-VC version after considering budget.

The second picture was good, symmetric.
Myself going to get the Tammy 90 once I have the funds. I should be a Tamron ambassador. |

haha. Why do you want to fit the Raynox to the Tammy 90? I'm not sure about the filter thread size, guessing it's 52/58ish mm. Can always check with Uncle Google.

I'm drowning in poison. At least I am comforted by the fact that I have no money.

QUOTE(busyman @ Jun 7 2010, 09:49 PM) The justification is subjective. I wanted to get the VC version, but found out it was over my budget, no choice but to stick with the non-VC one. Plus the mechanics of the non-VC is nicer. Sharpness or whatsoever, I can't comment as I've not done side-by-side comparisons. QUOTE(vikingw2k @ Jun 7 2010, 09:53 PM) Everyone knows that's a thumb drive la. You got your toy when you bought your new toy? The thumbdrive is just my new mini toy. The big toy is the one that you guys should figure out. The hint is embedded inside the picture. |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Jun 8 2010, 10:08 PM) I was wondering whether 550D's 18-55mm kitlens can produce good bokeh at F3.5?I mean still pictures and video Depending how far is the distance between your subject and the foreground/background. For f/3.5, it's at its widest end, so the difference in distances has to be very big to produce a creamy bokeh.55mm at f/5.6 should be able to produce the bokeh look that you are seeking for, remember, focal length distance plays a big role in bokeh look as well. And the Photoshop Lightroom 3. Too good to be true lah. |

QUOTE(knight @ Jun 8 2010, 11:29 PM) So means it's still adjustable lar...means the kitlens even at zoom, it still can go for F2.8 right? Sorry, I don't get what you're trying to say. I'm now delima on which to choose between this and Sigma 18-70mm f2.8-4.5 Between the Sigma and this? mm. Depending on what kind of stuff you shoot most and your photography habits I guess. I'm not familiar with Sigma pricing. |

QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Jun 9 2010, 09:27 AM) Yes and No. Entry level owners of course impressed with a 7D lar. Depends on where you look. The user base is smaller and the brand is new, and by that alone will limit your secondhand market. And my observation of people on the Alpha platform are usually more lay people (used to Sony's electronics) compared to the more established (or professional) buyer pool from Canon or Nikon. This means typical Alpha users may be less motivated to go after more expensive lenses and upgrades. Compare that to lets say the Canon EF mount which has been around since the age of dinosours.... and the millions of lenses made since inception. * just the other day, I poisoned an Alpha user kau kau with the 7D and my 50mm 1.4 in low light shooting. I think he had an a300? with the kitty and no ex-flash. Obviously the cameras are of different classes and price points...but it still hurts to get the beat down like that. Begin to feel sorry for me him now. His buddy with a entry Nikon (think it was a D40x or D60 with the nanny interface) was suitably impressed as well. |
