35L on crop not nice oredi. The special thing about 35L is the wide look with big aperture. What u need is 24L if u want the wide look.

Ur missing the point. Ppl like the 35L is coz it's wide. But on ur crop body it's not wide anymore. Put on crop oredi is 56mm. The specialty of having 35L is lost then. The 24L will have that 35 look on ur cropper.

Seems a waste lor. Buying a 35L n then getting the standard lens look that so many other ppl have. No more special look. Hehe. With a 24L, at least u still get that special look that will make ppl go WOW! Still Wide n still got bokeh. Anyway, since ur spending big money, go try it at the shop la. Surely they wont say no testing for a rm6k decision.

Plenty of ppl got that look on crop for cheap by using Sigma 30mm f1.4. That's y I say get the 24L coz there's no cheap alternative to a 24mm f1.4 lens. Anyway, if uve tried n like the 35L by all means get it. As I always say, BUY BUY BUY!

Blardy fooooooooool all these small small kicimiao making a lot of noise with their 5D2+24-105L. I come bungkussssssssss u all with Mac Daddy 1D+600L!!!!! Muahahahahaha

50mm f1.8 IQ oredi very bad, better just use it naked n dont degrade it any further with cheap filters.

1D can just go out n buy anytime, anyday. Just go out to the camera shop "boss kasi 1 biji 1D". Bungkus in plastic bag n jalan. 50mm f1.0 even got money oso cant find.

What body u using. If got AF Microadjustment, nonid to worry, just go home n calibrate urself. If dont have then just make sure u test the AF at shop before buying lor. Very easy to test oni ma. Anyway different bodies got different settings so u cant blame Sigma oso. My Sigma 50 needs +20 on my 5D2 n only +5 on 1D. So even same lens but diff body oso lari style 1. 1 fella lari marathon, 1 fella lari 100m.

I never asked for calibration there coz I'm very happy with my own settings now. U ask them to calibrate body lagi pening. Come back that time hafta spend hours Microadjusting all over again.

When i went looking for mine, only Boeing got ready stock. The rest of the shops all dare not stock specialty lens 1. All oni wanna stock the zoom lenses.

I wrote about that last week lor.

Just use a plastic bag like me la. Save money.

what's so wrong about buying Alpha. I sure wouldn't mind having an A900 with all the lovely Carl Zeiss lenses like the 16-35, 24-70, 80, 135. Just take a look at the yummy Zeiss 135mm f1.8, it's so big n lovely it'll put the puny little 135L to shame. The 35G n 70-200G r nice too. And all those Zeiss lenses r modern designs meant for huge reso like the A900. A lot of the Ls r ancient already n need updates. Only problem is Alpha don't have weather sealing n the big whites that I like and no fast action cameras for sports photography.

Birdy, u know the name Nigel Barker? Does he seem like the "play, play & snap snap for memory only" type of photog to u? Yes, he's obviously a brand ambassador but if the product is no good, he is definitely not gonna endorse it for it will affect his pictures n his career.

I don't understand where this hatred for brands comes from. Let's not be fanboys n pls drop the hatred. There's no need to get all emo over a camera. It's just a toy. Some say tomatoe some say tomatoh, in the end still a tomato. .

Price drop a while oredi lor. N no it's no due to new model. Its just a price revision. Master of Light, Laforet oredi said 5D3 will b no sooner than Q1 2011.
