@sioe
what brand and model AVR you are using, may be just the simple setting in AVR

or power cycle your byond box (ie. off - wait 10 seconds - on), could fix the problem

If it's a 1 hour show, it'll probably end up being 20 minutes tongue.gif

Could be. I find it strange because almost all the programmes shown must have been filmed in 16:9 anyways. Why not just broadcast them like that.
*
the only channels in whole of Asia broadcasting in SD 16:9 are BBC World and DW-TV Asia. Broadcasters fault. wink.gif

Scrubs showing at star world also has sex reference. A lot of scene has been sensored.
I think astro will apply a same way sensorship with californication. sweat.gif

can, but be aware that every time you insert the AV HDD, you will get a prompt to reformat the HDD.
Is it true? Can we cancel to reformat and still can used it without affect existing data? hmm.gif

Haha. My byond subscription should cover it, you cheeky bugger tongue.gif

Wonder if you could answer this. When you receive the BBC world news feed, is it in widescreen, or has it already been cropped? If you recieve it in 4:3 I can understand why you can't broadcast it in 16:9 but if you recieve it in its native format, why not just rebroadcast it as that?

Surely you could design STB firmware that will crop the image if it is connected to an SDTV, or output it in widescreen if connected to a widescreen TV. On all the decoders I've used in the past, there has always been an option to select in the menu for widescreen TVs (although it didn't seem to make any difference to any channels).

Just a thought smile.gif

Hey Guys, not sure whether you all realise or not. The FAQ of Astro B.Yond changed in the website. Version 1 with more details such as upgrade options and prices and in version 2 they have removed some of the details. Refer to attachments for more information.

for user defined 1, you need to enter valid transponder frequency, such as 11682

for 18Measat 3A(VH), the right frequency is already pre-defined for you, so just select it and it will show HD channels transponder signal strength

I noticed that old faq beta version has quite a bit of duplication, such as same questions same answers appeared in different places in the document
