FYI, I have called Astro and explain I'm keeping both Max and B.Yond and they didn't want to swap my decoders to PVR at F.O.C. as my Max was disactivated during my last upgrade to B.Yond. last year.

They advice me to reconnect my Max and disconnect my B.Yond by paying penalty for my remaining contract period.

But PVR RM10 monthly, existing Byond pay RM5 monthly laugh.gif

Seriously charging money to enable something which is there in the first place is ridiculous doh.gif
*
Advantage of the PVR is the dual tuner. Can watch 1 channel while record another or record 2 channel when not watching. Existing Byond can't do that. Indeed it's ridiculous to charge money to enable the recording function as previous Astro Max didn't charge anything..

Hey Guys, not sure whether you all realise or not. The FAQ of Astro B.Yond changed in the website. Version 1 with more details such as upgrade options and prices and in version 2 they have removed some of the details. Refer to attachments for more information.

wow.. it's from 18 pages of the version I download yesterday to only 8 pages on the new version?

I noticed that old faq beta version has quite a bit of duplication, such as same questions same answers appeared in different places in the document

The comparison table between the Byond PVR and Byond was missing..

Well, my WD HDD is 750Gb, so, should be working, right?  tongue.gif

what is the feedback after you use it ?
worth it or no?

So i understand that it only able to record the channel you are watching ( for beyond decoder)
what if i didn't watch anything, can i schedule to record the program?

Scenario:
assume now is 8pm, and i am on Channel 311.
1. can i set it to record channel 311 start from 9pm~10.15pm ? ( and i switch off my TV after setting. )
2. this question a bit dumb but can it work after i program it, can i put my astro on standby mode ?
*
1. Yes
2. Am not sure but it suppose to be as it should switch on the decoder at specified time and start recording.

Astro won't let you skip the commercials recording. The advertiser will get pissed with them..
