By the way, my HD 5870 is able to overclock to desktop HD 5770 level at 850 and 1200. Cool ain't it?

I am actually running an Intel X25-M 160GB + 500GB 7200 RPM setup for the HD. Just putting back the 640 RAID 0 hard disks for Dell future warranty claiming purpose.

Yup. I set my clocks to work like ...er... no comparable Mobility card but probably a future ATI 5970 card at 880/1180 and I don't pass 80celcius after an hour of playing. In your case no point getting la since the diff is within a 100mhz.

You can even OC even higher than that like how the NBR Forumers overseas do. above 900/1200 I've seen..... sorry to hear u wanna let go of this behemoth of a monster. All the best in your sales......

i having the same problem as well .. usually after its sleep and cant wake up... screen black out in login screen right ?

Normally this is associated with battery..
Plug out the battery, then power on the laptop, then put back the battery in

If not its the graphics driver.. Do a clean reinstall..
-download DriverSweeper.
-Remove Catalyst Control Manager.
-boot in safe mode, run driver sweeper.
-boot normally.
-reinstall driver.
-
