- Brief History -
yea yea i know its boring, but as true Alienware owner, you should know it!

QUOTE
- Alienware is an American  computer hardware company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dell, Inc. -
- Alienware was founded in 1996 by Nelson Gonzalez and Alex Aguila -
- the Alienware name was chosen because of the founders' fondness for the hit television series The X-Files, hence the theme to their products, with names such as Area-51, Hangar18, m15x, and Aurora. -
- It mainly assembles third party components into desktops and laptops with custom enclosures for high-performance gaming. -
- Alienware was originally established to tap a niche in the high performance gaming market -
- Also offers for sale rebadged computer peripherals, such as headsets, computer mice, monitors and keyboards. -
- The company products are also differentiated by their science-fiction based designs. -
- Dell considered buying Alienware since 2002, but did not take any action until March 22, 2006, when it agreed to purchase the company. -
- Initially, Dell maintained its competing XPS line of gaming PCs, often selling computers with the same specifications. -
- On spring of 2008, the XPS brand was scaled down. -
- On June 2, 2009, The M17x was introduced as the First Alienware/Dell branded system. -
- Alienware now represents the premium performance space in Dell’s consumer family of products -
- This launch also expands Alienware’s global reach from six to 35 countries. -

there is nothing wrong with your specs, at all.

close all program in your desktop, check your Windows Power Setting, Stealth status and driver version.

I wanna know does window 7 ultimate run better than window 7 home on alienware? Or no different?
*
there is no significant different between Ultimite and Home, except if you want to use XP-version of Windows 7 (i forgot what its called though...)

google it. you will have a tonnes of results.

i know it sound weird, but Sheath Mode CAN'T be run just using battery.. sweat.gif

for me, using those locking software making it more suspicious that its contain sensitive information. just hide it deeply and make it un-accessible by changing the setting of the folder. plus, you can apply a password to every document (Microsoft Document) to strengthen your defense. brows.gif

QUOTE
Just few moments ago, Intel has officially announced that their Nehalem-based 32nm Core processors - Core i3, i5  and i7 - will soon be available in the form of ultra-low voltage (ULV) processors. Designed for ultra-thin notebooks, they are actually pretty similar to their full-voltage siblings in terms of features as the series signature technologies such as Intel Turbo Boost, Hyper Threading and the built-in HD Graphics are still intact within these new dual-core processors.

For starters, they will be available in four flavours:

   - Core i7-660UM (1.33GHz, turbo speed up to 2.40GHz)

    - Core i5-540UM (1.20GHz, turbo speed up to 2.00GHz)

    - Core i5-430UM (1.06GHz, turbo speed up to 1.73GHz)

    - Core i3-330UM (1.20GHz)

In addition to them, Intel has also introduced two more dual-core ULV processors - the Pentium U5400 (1.20GHz) and Celeron U3400 (1.06GHz). All these new ULV processors are already on their way to be equipped into bunch of new laptops made by Acer, Asus, Lenovo and MSI that are going to be available on the market starting from this June onwards…which are in just few days away. Get ready to check them out then!

thats why i said it will sound weird. hope they will somehow fix it on the next bios.

it sure cost a bomb to put it in...

but I would like to have this instead... classic beauty~ biggrin.gif

pawn in term of benchmarks result is not same with pawn in term of gaming FPS. those Turbo and HTT is generally useless when we talk about gaming.

so why company still use them in their gaming product? because Intel say so. hopefully AMD will save the situation laugh.gif

about the Area-51 refurbished, its specs is really outdated. but it still a nice collective item! biggrin.gif
