Quick question guys. Where can I purchase another AC Adapter for my brand new m17x? I plan to put one at home and one in the office so I don't have to lug that HUGE brick of an adapter back and forth.

I can't seem to find it at Dell Malaysia online shop.

well... no laptop is perfect and it goes down to the person to see if he/she likes it or not~ as for me... I've seen that AW has gone a great leap forward since 2004 with it's first laptop the Area-51M~ and most of em were 'plasticky' compared to today's tough structure of the M11x, M15x and M17x~

Added on September 1, 2010, 1:42 pmI don't think memory matters much... as I see that 512MB is enough for me... but it's still better to have more la... 1GB should be good enough... what matters is the GPU clock speed~ as I've checked the standard GTX 260M runs on 550MHz on standard speed... (Crysis runs good enough) and it only consumes around 200MB of my GPU memory~ Mirror's Edge around 180MB... but as for the clock speed it goes idle at 200MHz when you're on battery mode or even when it's plugged in but for normal operation it still stays there... that is until some game kicks in then it goes full speed ahead~ as for me... I've OCed it to 650MHz to pump up that extra frames in games so that I can see how much I can push it~ but I just wish that Asus could make a mobile version of ARES so that we can see power lappie fragging with no lag at all~ (1.2GHz on a GPU like ARES is totally IMBA!!! )

Funny the result (3DMark06) is similar to what I get from 780/1050 (134xx)
120mhz of difference gives only 300+- of score? I don't understand lol.

just calling dell, they said they aware about throttling issues on gtx 260m and must wait for bios and driver release to solve it...this problem appear since december 2009 till now..i asked the SA to give me discount for me on upgrading to ati 5850 because this were they problem..

edit:
the said no stock for ati 5850, need to wait about 1 week then will give price confirmation whether i need to pay full or technical fee only..

just want to share..just call dell this morning about m11xR1..hinge problem..and crank sound went open the lcd..almost 5months using without problem..hehehe

overclock wont give u a boost in gaming experience or benchmark.

Unlike desktop cards where you can control the voltage but doesn't make significant changes..

ya, the different is also minor only

yea... I OC to avoid throttling issues with the clock speed only... change the voltage and you'll get a ticking time bomb~
