Guys wanna ask, any 20-50w mineral engine oil which is below Rm50 for 4 liter? My engine is currently consuming engine oil, and i dont have the budget to service my engine yet, so wanna use the cheap cheap engine oil 1st b4 i got the budget.
*
Most standard 20W-50 oils won't be above $40 currently.

In fact, Conoco ("76") 10W-40 mineral oil was being sold by James
of Universal Auto for $48 not too long ago. He no longer stocks it.

Enoch (from UAE), Bardahl, Elf, Pennzoil were all selling for $32 - 34
about a year or two ago.

Currently, this is what I use :

Enoch Protec - $40 (from Universal Auto, 26 Jln Sungei Besi, KL)

Bardahl - $38 (from AME Auto in 7 Jln 21/11A, Seapark, PJ).

That means the engine oil you are using now has no or very little cleaning capabilities (detergent additives) ... shouldnt continue to use it anymore ..

Engine oil are meant to be black after certain mileage because they clean our engine and all the dirty residue should flow out with the engine oil .. if your engine oil very clean/yellowish that means all the dirty stuff are left over inside your engine .. you call that good ?!!  doh.gif
*
If you use a diesel oil for a petrol engine, it will drain out even blacker,
since diesel oils are high detergent oils (that is why they use old diesel
oils for cleaning engines sometimes).

This is my review about engine oil I used

brand: HI-REV 6030/6033
model:10w30 ( Mineral base)
feedback:EO cannot withstand until 5k mark, engine really start feel sluggish at 4k. not responsive at higher RPM.
change my EO at 4200km interval, the EO is really darker wit full of deposit..
verdict: 2/5

he said hi-rev, eo should be engine oil.

and yeah, i was a user of hi-rev too, 3-4k km and its as good as dead, engine feels like a total dead weight, be it my nissan sentra or my proton iswara. never again smile.gif
same goes for shell, duckhams i wonder what other engine oil i've used, pretty much all crap compared to lm/torco. well, they are cheap, i'll give you that. again, at the end of the day, you get what you pay for

Nope,EO stand for engine oil like Quazacolt said.

Rite now I currently try Eneos Fully Syntethic Pro Racing SM 5w40..
still new can't give full review but so far engine feel more2 lite,more2 responsive, more2 silent..
better then castrol and petronas fully synthetic..
need to wait until da 3rd EO interval change..then can give full review for this Eneos Fully Syntethic Pro Racing SM 5w40.

i'am already reaching 98600km....my statement means, i measure my oil since december till now....now clocking 9500km using that oil...

i have another review, but these people doesnt enter Lyn....but i give it:

1. Avanza 2005 1.3 - change last time 11000km using the Duron E...now using it again...
2. Toyota Hi-Ace plet WUU: 3 times using Duron E, change every 20000km
3. Persona 1.6 2010: change last time 8000km on Duron E, 9000km on Supreme synthetic performance...now Duron again.

and many more...

sorry if bias...but these are just example...not making it up....

Hello, I am not sure if this question asked before but anyone knows the answer please let me know. I am planning to use Toyota Full Synthetic Engine Oil on my Honda. Before this I am using Honda Full Synthetic engine oil and feels like the car becomes sluggish after 5K KM or so. That's why it triggers me to try out Toyota engine oil.

Anyone experience or tried this out before?

mainstream, probably not much difference to try. heck, if i wanna mainstream it up, might as well try lexus oil right? (brand lexus > toyota? even if they're still basically the same company rofl)
