hi,
is it ok if sometimes we used Fully/S oil, sometimes we use Semi/S oil? does it harmful to our engine? can we mix engine oil of different brands but same viscosity for our car engine? For 2007 2400cc sedan car, 10w/30 SS or 10w/40 SS oil better ??

Personally I will go for 10w/30.. If there is no oil consumption associated issue..

feedback on Torco TR-5 10w40:
(note: this will be largely in comparison to the usual liqui moly MOS2 10w40)

cons:
- tappet noise is noticeably louder
- engine NVH (especially during idle) is slightly rougher
- low rpm (under 3k) may sometimes be lethargic

pros:
- acceleration past 3k rpm is seriously good, seems much faster than previous LM
- high revs sounds very smooth!
- while the sound is definitely louder than previous LM, it doesnt feel bad at all, really good engine sound pitching, and not much noticeable knockings/vibrations even on high RPM

to summarize, i think torco SS is good for folks who wants performance, and/or high revs a lot.
for those would rather stick with a better NVH, liqui moly is still the way to go smile.gif

after tried for years on the following oil:

Mobile 1 Gold 0-40W then
Motul 8100 excess 5-40W

now currently
Torco SR1 5-40W (2L) + Torco TR1 10-40W (2L)

all i can say, the torco has a much better feel. previously the motul excess was my favourite but somehow after about 2000km the feel is 'gone'. no longer smooth feeling.
Torco easily lasted above 5000km ( for the 'feel' , the feel of a brand new oil change)

That means the engine oil you are using now has no or very little cleaning capabilities (detergent additives) ... shouldnt continue to use it anymore ..

Engine oil are meant to be black after certain mileage because they clean our engine and all the dirty residue should flow out with the engine oil .. if your engine oil very clean/yellowish that means all the dirty stuff are left over inside your engine .. you call that good ?!! doh.gif
