The "Amerioil" brand of 20W-50 oil is quite lightweight for its viscosity. I bought one can from Univeral Auto in Pudu last time and it improved performance in my "old junk" car. Cost about $36 then, 4 liters. However, they don't stock it anymore. The agent is New Hoong Fatt, the importer of all those Taiwan body parts. However, they are selling for about $50 plus. http://www.newhoongfatt.com.my/nhf.htm Universal Auto said they can sell much cheaper because they order in bulk from New Hoong Fatt. Other than than, Pennzoil's "MGMO' 20W-50 oil is also not bad. |

QUOTE(Shadowless @ Mar 19 2012, 02:17 PM) Guys wanna ask, any 20-50w mineral engine oil which is below Rm50 for 4 liter? My engine is currently consuming engine oil, and i dont have the budget to service my engine yet, so wanna use the cheap cheap engine oil 1st b4 i got the budget. Most standard 20W-50 oils won't be above $40 currently. In fact, Conoco ("76") 10W-40 mineral oil was being sold by James of Universal Auto for $48 not too long ago. He no longer stocks it. Enoch (from UAE), Bardahl, Elf, Pennzoil were all selling for $32 - 34 about a year or two ago. Currently, this is what I use : Enoch Protec - $40 (from Universal Auto, 26 Jln Sungei Besi, KL) Bardahl - $38 (from AME Auto in 7 Jln 21/11A, Seapark, PJ). If you use a diesel oil for a petrol engine, it will drain out even blacker,Engine oil are meant to be black after certain mileage because they clean our engine and all the dirty residue should flow out with the engine oil .. if your engine oil very clean/yellowish that means all the dirty stuff are left over inside your engine .. you call that good ?!! since diesel oils are high detergent oils (that is why they use old diesel oils for cleaning engines sometimes).
