even if new and from europe, i think u should at least request for 1 month personal warranty from the seller.. then u can test kaw2 in a month..

the audio video sync issue applies to all snapdragon as it is a snapdragon issue as far as i heard.. on what case do u wish to push the multitouch? the helicopter view, pinch zooming was sufficient already.. and hopefully it would be fixed soon.. this product is still very new indeed so surely there would be support.. im not ensuring or promising but that is the common thing to happen in a product life cycle unless ur comparing to nokia with the bad 5800XM product support

snappy phone for me indeed.. and yes indeed im quite pissed with the off sync issue.. but the other feature and the user experience it gave me makes me smile out wide... hopefully there would be a fix smile.gif oh yes, froyo is coming soon rolleyes.gif

Save money, dont buy. The multitouch is probably a hardware limitation, will never be fixed on Desire. How about Samsung Galaxy S, iPhone 4G or HTC Evo 4G? Dont get Desire la, old model liao, so many bug also - damn sien.

juz want to share to y'all who wnt to get desire widout contract.
can buy it @ maxis centre sunway pyramid.but they're selling fast.d sales person said its always finish aftr few days of restock.  smile.gif

To clarify all the questions about buying the phone at RM 2199 before contract, I just came from Maxis KLCC. You can now buy the phone at retail of Rm 2199 without contract if you're a Maxis or Hotlink subscriber. Means, no need to signup contract anymore.

The workaround for non-Maxis is to just go buy a Prepaid starter pack and buy the phone at retail price lor. Then use your DiGi or Celcom SIM card. Or just wait until end of this month to see what the Yellow and Blue guys are offering.

I am very happy I got the phone so quick. KLCC booth is until tomorrow, if you want to check it out.

PS. I will play around tonight with it and shoot and upload a Review video for you guys by end of the week.
PS2. Add me to the owners' list!!!

that's right, the multitouch is due to hardware, cant do much bout it...desire is still pretty much still a high-end phone...but yeah in some aspect it's "outdated"...

i believe complicated software / UI / applications are bound to some bugs one way or another...the question is: can you accept some of the workarounds to temp solve the issues?

you just need to get more information on the phone you are interested in, know the pros and cons, so that you will not regret later after using the device...if you are worried bout video sync and multitouch, then wait for either iphone 4G/HD (i'm pretty much confident on iphone multitouch capability as it pretty much used for games) or samsung galaxy S...

but know this, other phones are not perfect either...example: 1 design flaw of the Samsung galaxy S (to me) is the lack of LED notification, if you miss a call or a sms come in but you didnt know bout it, you wont know until you wake the phone up and you would need to refer to the screen to check if the phone is fully charged as there's no LED indication to tell you that the phone has fully charged...on the other hand, desire has LED notification and will not have these problems...

so just get a phone that you are comfortable with and dont really mind bout the spec too much, all the phone you buy now, will probably get outdated in the next 6 months...
