Since I can't get a "cheap" notebook with backlit keyboard, I am thinking of getting Dell 15R with Intel HD graphic because it has numeric keypad. Getting it with 3 years warranty and price would be around RM2.5K.

My Dell Vostro1400 bought in late 2007 with graphic card got problem and cost about RM1K to repair. Generally happy with Dell, the same Vostro had some battery problem (in the 11th month) and Dell sent the replacement battery to my home. I have another Vostro 1400 without graphic card bought almost the same time still working ok.

Yes, that one is coupon, but only works for Studio and Studio XPS

Yup, seems like only Inspiron 15R would give you the cheapest 15" laptop (with numeric pad) ..

Performance wise, almost the same but i3 runs cooler than T6570 and it also consumed less power compared to i3 350M, though in raw performance, the gap is not that much...

Well, V3000 is one of the most problematic laptop there is...no worries as the newest batch of Compaq (CQ Series) seems to be quite good
