+1..got some extra money to spare and buy the some bling-bling laugh.gif..joking only...

Well, Acer 4551 would be a nice choice as per given budget....if not then what our bro (kae7) suggested is pretty good nod.gif...go for Asus (2 years warranty) or Dell Inspiron (best after sales service)

QUOTE(Sjiki @ Jun 6 2010, 05:35 AM)
Yes, that's true, but that's overkill ^^ i do not need an alienware...as i do not super super game...i just like to play some games and watch movies and do some internetting, chatting, etc
So I just prefer a good graphic card like ati 5650 and for cpu i5
*
Then its Lenovo Y460 for you then

Intel Core i5 540M + ATi HD5650 @RM3599 nod.gif...this would satisfy your need nod.gif

Others would be :

Asus N82Jv, i5 520M + GT335M @RM3999

Sony VAIO EA16, i5 520M + HD5650 @RM3999

Added on June 6, 2010, 10:19 amAs for 5470G, cannot give any feedback because i dun really tested the unit but its a 15" laptop and should be on par with the one i listed above nod.gif

What do you meant by slower than 4820TG hmm.gif

Added on June 6, 2010, 11:59 am4820TG is i5 430M + HD5470 @RM2999...a TimelineX Series, stylist design and slimmer than 5471G....as for 5471G, a better performance compared to 4820TG i guess and bigger screen...

Well, price goes up & down...so cannot exactly be confirmed on which price is it now...as for me, 5471G seems like a good choice for you..but still remember than you are looking for something in 14" range, so i guess Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820TG would be a good buy nod.gif

*note, please don't use CAPS when replying, no use to SHOUT at people nod.gif

Well, 4820TG offers slim and portability (mobility) while 5471G offers a larger screen size, higher clocked CPU & bigger RAM...

So, the choice is in your hand, want mobility and light notebook then 4820TG is perfect choice while 5471G is good for viewing works in larger screen icon_rolleyes.gif

4820TG can run AutoCAD/3D Software fine...and these software that you mentioned runs more on CPU rather than GPU..so GPU is not a main concern here nod.gif

Yes, the problem with G320M is its only DX10.1, so future proof would be HD5470 tongue.gif

hey there!
i'm considering to get this model; Dell 14R

so is it good ? any of u own this model ?

n where could i find this model around PJ area ? is there a Dell centre(if there is one tongue.gif ) in PJ ?

notworthy.gif
*
Well, usually if its a DELL, we strongly suggest you to get it ONLINE, because you can choose the spec the way you want it nod.gif..guessing DELL outlet should have a pre-configured unit of Dell Inspiron 14R nod.gif..can't help you about your area though because not from there icon_rolleyes.gif

A good choice but can know what is your maximum budget?? smile.gif

thx for replying icon_rolleyes.gif

hmm the highest i would go is around rm2800...

ya thats what i'm afraid of if i buy straight from outlet sad.gif  BUT if i get it online i would have to use credit card n all right ?

say, what if i go to the outlet then tell the people there what spec i want and have them deliver to me later..is that possible ? tongue.gif
*
The last sentence, i don't think so sweat.gif..they will only sell what they have, but still maybe you can nego them a bit icon_rolleyes.gif..well, like astria said, you can also use bank draft nod.gif...

And considering your budget, why don't you take a look at Dell SXPS 16 which is on promotion now selling @RM2999 icon_rolleyes.gif

T6570 vs i3 350m which 1 is better, the performance got big different as i know the i3 is new version of Pentium dual core and the T6570 is c2d? thanks  smile.gif
*
Performance wise, almost the same but i3 runs cooler than T6570 and it also consumed less power compared to i3 350M, though in raw performance, the gap is not that much...

I don't think there's any major issue with this model tongue.gif...well, most probably lack of driver support from their website, but can be solved by downloading the driver manually icon_rolleyes.gif
