yo sifus....

i'm searching for a laptop.... preferably thin profile and not bulky like those alienware type...but i'm ok with core i5 processor but with good graphics card.... planning to play games as well as normal use....

this laptop will be more like a replacement for my desktop with 4850 graphics card...so as long as it's about 'equivalent' performance is ok....

budget can go up to RM3k+ and max maybe RM4k?

summarY: thin profile with best graphics...any model to reocmmend for me to take a look?
thanks ya!

equivalent with HD4850 would be quite hard sweat.gif
You would need to get notebook with HD5870 to get that kind of performance...

Thin profile with best gpu available would be Acer 4820TG that available on Singapore, i7-620M + ATi HD5650@SGD$1898...
Though it still weaker than your desktop...

hello, i need recommendation to buy laptop.

well, i will use it for microsoft office application, light gaming (kids games =P), and a lot of documents to be save. so i'll be needing big space.. and also for listening music, internet, video.

act, i wanna buy lappy from spssystems.com.my then semester-ly, they'll take money from my ptptn loan. so, i just take the lappy that they listed, and that i think i can afford.

which one of these is suitable for me..

1)LENOVO B450-T4400

2)DELL INSPIRON 11z (T510123MY)

3)ASUS Eee PC 1201T

4)HP MINI 5102 PC

5)TOSHIBA SATELLITE L510-B400

are these lappys is good? or not?
and they are all below RM1800

personally, no ACER and BENQ for me, as my mum and my bro's fren are having a bad time wiv em~

so anyone help me please... Thanx notworthy.gif

ps: i'm know nothing bout the interior of lappys..

If want all-rounder with average 2-3 hours batery life,
1)LENOVO B450-T4400
5)TOSHIBA SATELLITE L510-B400

If want lightweight and long battery life,
2)DELL INSPIRON 11z (T510123MY)
4)HP MINI 5102 PC
3)ASUS Eee PC 1201T

Though if this is going to be your main computer, better take either lenovo B450 or Toshiba L510-B400...

Ok, i been to Sigma Pelangi System website and see the notebook list that they have, personally i would recommend you to take :

Acer Aspire 4551
Lenovo B450
Toshiba L510
Asus K40IJ
Asus K40Ae
Acer Aspire 1410

There's no problem with the latest batch of Acer laptops nod.gif, my friends have been using the new models (4820TG/4551/4745G etc etc) and they never have any major problem with it icon_rolleyes.gif..maybe you can consider Acer 4551 as it is one of the best in the list nod.gif

Well, can consider Lenovo Y460, i5 540M + ATi HD5650@RM3599, thicker than the Acer though...

Hi,

To all sifu, can help me decide which one better rclxub.gif :
1. Dell Inspiron 14R
Intel® Core™ i3-350M Processor (2.26Ghz, 4Threads, 3M cache)
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Basic 64 bit (English)
2GB (1 X 2 GB) 1 DIMM DDR3 1333Mhz
320GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
ATI Mobility Radeonâ„¢ HD 5470 - 1GB
2. ACER ASPIRE 6930
Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 dual core processor (2GHz, 2MB cache.)
2GHz processor speed.
4GB DDR2 RAM.
nVidia GeForce 9600M GT graphics card with 512MB graphics memory.

I check from this website, http://www.notebookcheck.net/Comparison-of...ards.130.0.html option 2 has better graphic performance but option 1 has better processor. Which one of this laptop can run Autodesk Inventor better?

Thank you

The best you could get is Dell Vostro 3700, 17.3'', i5 430M + Nvidia GT330M@RM2849 or Lenovo Y460, 14'', i5 430M + ATi HD5650@RM3299....

I've tested it on my Y460 and it does draw a lot of power which means that it'll generate heat like 70+C most of the time. If you go for Vostro 3700, the temp won't be too bad but you need to set to medium on most settings in order to run the game smoothly. nod.gif

Any other requirements?? Well, different with all the BRANDS that you listed is just its different BRANDS nod.gif..some offer good stuff while some are just normal nod.gif...Dell is the best (and also the most expensive) when comes to After Sales Service, while Asus provide you with 2 years Global Warranty..Toshiba also is a well known laptop in Japan and their quality is amongst the best icon_rolleyes.gif

Well, with the budget i can recommend you :

Acer 4741Z (P6000 + GMA HD) @RM1899
Lenovo G460 (i3 350M + NV 310M) @RM2349
Toshiba L510-B402 (T6570 + ATi HD4570) @RM2299
Toshiba L645-1004U, i3-330M + GMA HD, freeDOS@RM2000 (need own Window installation)
Dell Vostro 3400, i5 430M + Intel HD, Home Basic@RM2379
Dell Inspiron 14, DC P6000 + ATi HD530v @RM2199
