QUOTE(kukubisu @ May 18 2010, 03:58 PM) It's hard to find any competitive product that have the whole package that includes sleek design, well thought user interface, tens of thousand apps, great back up from accessories manufacturer and carrier. |

QUOTE(slickz @ May 17 2010, 10:06 PM) Cheapest ipads I saw goes for about RM 2200 in garage sales. Sigh. I bought mine at RM2100 (ianlti). I think he still have 1 set left. The only thing keeping me from buying one now is the thought of how much I will be kicking myself when the thing finally arrives in malaysia with about 200-300 ringgit cheaper, then with same amount I pay NOW I could buy the 64GB version. Oh dear god so tempted. QUOTE(stringfellow @ May 17 2010, 06:38 PM) Yup, I've just directed Playbook there for his Nude Ultra-clear hunt. Don't worry. In fact I'd like to thank you here for your kindness to do the iPad tumpang. I already bought one together with Nude last Sunday. I'm loving it. How about yours, bro? I'm really sorry I couldn't source out an iPad for both you and Ris. |

Hi all
I have been using the iPad 3G for almost a week now and I must say the iPad without 3G is 70% discount from the fun using the iPad. I gave the wifi iPad to my wife since she does not use it outside and alway limit in the house. So far I am happy with it using the camera kit and the keyboard dock. However, still cannot replace my MacBook pro at this moment. Hope it will be one day. For those who consider iPad, pls get the 3G version if possible. QUOTE(kukubisu @ May 18 2010, 03:58 PM) I've used the Viliv X70 before I sold it off a few days before I got my iPad. I thought I can live with the clunkiness and supposed "extra advantage" a proper Desktop OS have over the iPad's iPhone OS, but the Viliv can do neither at an acceptable or smoother way. Not until the Android tablets takes off would you see a proper rival, but even so, you'd still pine for the iPhone OS for the sleek and smooth user interface. QUOTE(iamsobloodysick @ May 18 2010, 04:14 PM) I bought mine at RM2100 (ianlti). I think he still have 1 set left. That is relief to hear, now everyone in the Tumpang list has an iPad, I'm glad. Don't worry. In fact I'd like to thank you here for your kindness to do the iPad tumpang. I already bought one together with Nude last Sunday. I'm loving it. QUOTE(ASAP @ May 18 2010, 04:23 PM) Hi all I beg to differ, MiFi + iPad WiFi is more than enough to compensate for the lack of 3G. The only thing you'd be missing is the GPS capability, and using a device this size for navigation borders on cumbersome. I have both, but I'm not inclined to do so on my 3G iPad. I have been using the iPad 3G for almost a week now and I must say the iPad without 3G is 70% discount from the fun using the iPad. Those with the iPad WiFi + MiFi solution, trust me, you've picked a sensible choice. This post has been edited by stringfellow: May 18 2010, 05:52 PM |

Until there is an app that requires pin-point accuracy on GPS while using your iPad, there is no need for the 3G. Unless you're planning to use this as a GPS solution, and so far, the only HD version of a GPS app is CoPilot Live HD, with maps for North America only.
Added on May 18, 2010, 5:23 pmA simple question to those with iPads: Do you guys bring out your iPad when you're out and about, and how much more inclined are you to use them in public? I notice that , even when mI'm out meeting the guys for the Tumpang item distribution, they're not inclined to use them or be seen using them. May I ask why? I'm suspecting fear of being robbed, but I'd rather not speculate and get the real answer. This post has been edited by stringfellow: May 18 2010, 05:23 PM |
